I don't think being able to rescue the Normandy crew has anything to do with whether Kelly Chambers likes you, though since I've never rescued the whole crew don't take my word for it. But as I understand it getting on with Kelly does get you to offer her dinner and then her to offer to feed your fish for you (she offered to feed my fish even before I'd bought any fish). That's about as far as the 'romance', if you can call it romance rather than just flirting, ever goes and you can romance Tali either at the same time or afterwards. I can confirm this much because I just did an ME2 run where I flirted with Kells enough to have her looking after the fish and then when on to have the full romance with Tali, though I stuffed up the end of the game and poor Kelly got turned into Vegemite again. Apparently if I'd saved her she'd have sent an email abut meeting me in my quarters out of uniform and she turns up wearing an Afterlife dancer's outfit and does the same dance.

PS  might be just my monitor but blue and purple text on this background? Really hard to read.
