I have played through Soldiers Keep and Killed the Grandmother of my companion talked Advernus into closing the veil, he says follow me to the room and when I get there I talk to him and he says I must protect him then walks left and just stops..  There is an icon to talk to him, but he wont talk, or wont start sealing the veil...  Dead in the water....

Please help, some have suggested on other forums he must be standing in one of the circles, I play on high resolution so would this cause a probelm?

Try reloading it a few times. I had that and had to reload about 5 times before it worked. What patch are you using?

ive reloaded it several timesmyself, tried several combinations of reply to Levi, andeven stood holding my guys on all 4 circles hoping for something..Ive even kited the Abomination around the room, and killing the respawns, and they just seem to keep coming..Though VERY slowly...It gets to wqhere im controlling all 4 characters, and running in circles...Im only lvl 10, so they go down quite easy..Could it be because i have Shale in my group? being another dlc? or the dog?

if you level up during that fight then the door remains locked and you can't continue with the quest. You have to level up outside of the fight, which sucks for you because you don't have an earlier saved file.

Has happened to me.  Author is correct.  Only solution is to re-load a save from before that fight,
then to NOT  level-up before opening the door to the rest of the Keep.
