Crusades anyone?

Well, one IT person did say they are freedom fighters fighting for the truth.

That was what made me go from just really disliking IT and it's believers, to hating them both.

there's a big difference between an explanation and a statement. IT is a theory to explain the horrible ending. it is, in no shape or form, the ending statement itself. whatever happens from the RGB point is the same, regardless whether you're pro or anti IT.

what y'all arguement junkies don't understand is that we're all on the same boat, no matter how you look at it.

I.T. is fundamentally flawed, however, I am (still) amazed at how people cling to the last straw of hope against an ending they perceive as wrong, ME fans as a whole are definitely some of the most passionate ones I've ever seen in any media.

What is RIGHT with the *ending*?

oh yeah I forgot........................the SHOOTING stopped, silly me.Image IPB

Heheh that is true, and it worked quite well for the DS9 Relaunch novels too. See the way DS9 did the ending, with Sisko falling into a pit to destroy the Pah-Wraiths, was set-up as a premise a long time before the final battle, whereas while ME3 does something similar (insta-kill Reapers/synthesise them etc) that comes from absolutely nowhere. They should have looked at DS9 for ending an arc with gods in it haha

Exactly. DS9 had a constant story-arc, the godlike beings are there from the very first epsiode and investigated further. Up to the end you have accepted them, either as "wormhole"-beings or semi-mythical "prophets", but they surely didn't come out of nowhere like Mr. Ghostchild and his marvelous and colourful ending-slot-machine!

I just with the side I am on that has been giving me strong feelings towards what I am believing would actually be more mature. But alas, about 76% of the internet are just teenagers including I.

And yes, out-of-no-where percentage came from out-of-no-where. Problem?

Edit: If its not clear, I am someone who believes in the IT, just not the general community of them.

Okay: Let's say everything the IT theorists are spouting is right: their little theory is correct and I'm stupid, and my mother was a ****, and everything else they've told me is correct.  And I'm being VERY generous here considering the last piece of "evidence" I saw was a bloke realizing that the citadel tower chamber kind of sort of looks like a reaper if you squint and have pink-eye.

Now here's the problem I want them all to admit to right now: IT IS NOT, repeat IS NOT an ending.

Should IT be correct, and you "win" by choosing destroy the reapers, and Shepard wakes up: where do we wake up?  We are plonked back onto Earth, MID-BATTLE no less, with a no doubt wounded team and reaprs everywhere.  This isn't a situation that five minuts, or een 10 minutes of cutscenes or quick time events could fix.  This is still a story written into a hole.

This will lead to one of two things: more post-credits DLC content, which will likely be paid for, or a new game entirely.  This means Bioware lied, fundamentally in nearly all their promo material and all the raming that went into ME3.  It also means, that if these items are not free, I will not get them, and even then: they will have to be delivered to my door, with chocolates and appologies before I purchase another Bioware product ever again.

This thread is stupid! <_<

You got better things to do than Troll all those with hope or, like me, that don't need it to understand that it was an Indoc attempt. Stop insulting EA, Bioware and people that don't think like you!

By the way... they already did "lie" about MANY things (like endings that would be different and that would matter according to the choices we made through out the game)... Or did they? Maybe it's not over yet and Bioware did not lie about anything.

Oh! And post-ending DLCs which is likely to be paid for is a CERTAINTY!!! EA wants it, Bioware wants it, X-Box, Playstation and PC wants it and all the most die hard ME fans wants it too... And none of these people care at all about what the rest of the population think! No matter how wrong you might think this marketing tendancy is.

If you don't want to buy anymore ME3 content... fine! Go play D3 or some other game and spare us from your verbal diarea.

Do you seriously still believe that there will be DLC that takes place after the game?  The choices at the end of the game - while presented similarly - either kill Shephard or change significant parts of the universe.  In any of the three cases, the Reaper threat is ended *at least* temporarily (no villain).  What are we supposed to get, post-ending dlc where we "rebuild" the galaxy?  How would that even play out game-play wise?  Moreover, post-ending dlc would be impossible to implement given the ending - Bioware would have to write one version with Shephard alive, another version with Shephard ascended to control the reapers (so who do you play as?), and another version where the whole damn galaxy has been synthesized (and again, who do you play as?).  Not going to happen.

Bioware has already said that SP DLC will take place during the main storyline.  That's why, when you beat the game, you are returned to the Normandy and told that future DLC will allow you to expand upon Shepard's "legend."

Note:  When saying that there won't be post-ending DLC, I'm assuming that the endings are to be taken at face value.  IT is/was not Bioware's intention and is ridiculous both from a narrative and marketting standpoint.

Once the EC is out, expect DLC along the lines of ME2.

Wow!!! :pinched:

Why am I even spending time answering this...

<_< Ok! I'll play with you...

If the IT is correct, everything that has happened after Sheppard was strucked by Harbringer's laser is a dream, an allucination induced upon his subconscience, being unconscient. Either Sheppard fails (with control or synthesis) and becomes indoctrinated or resists (choosing control) and breaks the reaper's hold. Whatever happened until the complete end of the game does not matter or make sense... It's a dream... Except (perfect destroy ending) when Sheppard gasps for air in the wreckages of London.

The Extended cut DLC is supposed to clarify that and make it more digestible for everyone. Obviously, they don't want to change their plans because IT is probably the next best thing in the history of gaming... If they pull it off successfully.

What happens from then is a complete mistery. It will fallow, in my opinion, with more DLC material. Yes! This game is incomplete!!! Swallow that pill and live with it!!! It's not hard to fallow the quest if Sheppard is indoctrinated. He is a bad guy, no longer playable and, guess what!!! Kaiden/Ashley are next in line as 2nd human specter. They, by default could become the new "main character" (simple swap... barely any programming involved and it would fit perfectly).

If you did'nt like the game... you don't have to put a single dine on it anymore... If you did, you WILL be begging them to take your money no matter how outraged you are because of the fact that if the game is good, it will sell... if it's not, no more money for them... And they know that!!! No one is stupid on the Bioware and EA team. They have a gold mine and they are going to make sure they reap every peny they can from us. It's called business and it's as fair as it gets in capitalism.

However... I don't think they've expected a fan backlash as violent as the one given to them a few months ago... I agree with some people saying that Bioware deserves better fans... Some of us have been quite narrow minded, accusing Bioware with stupidity and EA with heartless micromanaging... I, for one, don't beleave that.

The fundamental flaw is we got a game without an ending?

The fundamental flaw is we got no proof , only "evidence"

The fundamental flaw is that EC wasnt (at least officialy) planned and there isnt going to be any more Ending Dlc?

The fundamental flaw ist that they stated there will be cut scenes and epilogues added on the existing endings, but nowhere stated theres going to be more gameplay (cant think of IT with only cuts and ep)

Doesnt this counts as flaws?

A great part of Anti-IT "evidence" is not within the game, but this doesnt make them unusable

So how does this DISprove IT?Image IPB

We take evidence from within the game, and "anti-IT" use rumors from OUTSIDE the game?Image IPB

Yeah the anti-IT side is............................"I don't know"Image IPB

With a game as infuriatingly linear as ME3, do you really think they'll go out of their way to craft differing scenarios for those who didn't get the currently-unobtainable-w/o-MP breath scene or chose to pick the other two choices for whatever reason?
