So I've rescued Riordan from Arl Howe's Estate, and now he's there in Arl Eamon's estate. Now I know where the Warden's vault is in the warehouse, but I can't get Riordan to bring it up so I can access it in the first place. When I talk to him, all he will talk about is his plans, the Grey Wardens, and Duncan. Can anyone help?

Not totally sure about this, but it's possible that you might have to have found the Warden documents back in the bedroom in the Arl of Denerim's estate and asked Riordan if they're his before he'll discuss the Warden's cache with you. Hopefully someone will be able to confirm.

Well, poo. I didn't get the documents from the estate, and I can't go back, so.. guess I'm outta luck for this playthrough.

Yep ;)

He only tells you the code if you talk to him about the documents.

And... what I always wondered: Who raided the vault? Taking away the dragon blood and leaving all kinds of valuable armor? Must have been someone who knew the dragon blood secret. Trying to avoid more Grey Wardens being recruited over the next months. And who knows about it besides Grey Wardens? Loghain didn't as far as I remember. And I highly doubt Duncan would take every dragon blood with him on a mission he didn't know if he would return alive...

Next curious thing: How on earth did they do Loghains joining without dragon blood and mages performing a ritual to prepare the soup?

Riordan could have carried an instant Grey Warden mix with him, just add water and enjoy.

At least that's how I rationalize it, has been bugging me as well.

Exactly. This was a pretty glaring inconsistency.

Edit: Nevermind, I replayed the conversation with Riordan in the dungeon. He said they were already missing.

Yes, and Riordan also says that at the moment there isn't any way to reproduce Grey Wardens... so... They just gave Loghain swineblood to drink and let him dwell on the placebo effect?

Who says they have neither?

Loghain's the one who took the blood according to Riordan, after all.
Mages are a dime a dozen, even if you annul.

There are darkspawn everywhere by that point. They just jaunted out and bled one before breakfast.

And where did Loghain know that from? It's the biggest Grey Warden secret...
