Okay, Reave may be the best power in the game for all I know, but I wouldn't know, because it has THE most annoying sound effect in the entire universe.

For me at least, it doesn't end when the effect ends, and it isn't localized to the target(s) effected by Reave.  It sounds globally in the entire game, and once anyone uses the power, it continually loops from then on.

Am I the only one  having this problem?  I've looked through the forums and found no other mention of it.

If I am, can someone help me fix it?  If I'm not then can we PLEASE get a less annoying sound effect for Reave or at least get it localized and have it end when the power effect ends or the enemy dies?

It's a pretty common problem. Most likely, everyone has it.

And there's no fix around, and truth be told I don't think Bioware cares at this time.

We should see patch notes before the end of the month. I think Rob Blake (audio lead) already acknowledged this bug so it should be fixed soon.

Having said that, they're taking their time with these patches. Even Mass Effect 2 still has huge bugs that need to be fixed.

I want to think otherwise, but...

ME1 got patched to v1.01 after launch then 1.02 a bit later. Final patch.

ME2 got patched to v1.01 after launch then 1.02 a bit later. Final patch.

ME3 got patched to v1.01 after launch then 1.02 a bit later. Final patch?

You aren't the only one, this problem occurs with me as well. I just leave the game when I start to hear it - not worth dealing with for 20 minutes. Just avoid Drell Adepts if you see them in a lobby, until Bioware fixes this, there isn't much we can do.

Both, Tully Ackland and Chris Priestly have confirmed that there will soon be a patch 1.03 for ME3.

Hmm, a new patching strategy then. If only they had decided to support ME2 as well it wouldn't still have the number of bugs it has.

I wonder what prompted this change of strategy? Perhaps they'll go back to NWN levels of support? We can dream...
