Ok, I get a copy of ME 1 recently. I complete the game. I then start a new game on ME 2 and try to import my character from the previous game. Won't do it. I know my importer was working because When I rented the first game, I was able to import my Shepard to ME 2 with no problems. The rented Shepard is in green, and my recent one is in yellow. How do I fix the problem, if it's possible?

Try looking in the ME2 tech support forums instead of here. There are plenty of discussions there concerning imports. There are a lot of reasons why you might not be able to get the import to work, and there are a lot of solutions in the ME2 tech support forums
