Falcon requires no skill but bodyshotting incapacitated enemies with an untra-rare at level X does. okay.png

I get the gold medal for headshots in the beginning of the vid, so what is your point? 9:30

I cant watch a 25-minute-long vid in 5 minutes, I just read your post:

Stardusk wrote...

You already do so much damage with 47.5% extra weapon damage that you don't need headshot to two shot shielded enemies or one shot nonshielded ones.

My point was clear enough.

But hey, I know you are one of the few who can score 10 headshots vs cerberus on wave 1

I should have clarified that. You don't need the 20% headshot passive. You misunderstood my point. You DO need to headshot though.

What is it with folks that use that white turian avatar image. It seems to attract a certain aggressive type of poster - must be worthy of research.

edit: spelling, stupid ipad keyboard and clumsy fingers

I generally enjoy your guides, but I gotta say you way overuse the term "glass cannon." If you think about it the Geth engineer is far sturdier than a Human engineer (or any other Human for that matter). Max fitness the shields + health are identical on the two races, but the Geth have front-loaded shields which can fully replenish (and with the turret in near proximity they can do so more quickly than average). Realistically, health value is way over-valued. I (and I imagine most players are similar) do my best to keep my head down when my shields are depleted, so most times my health reserves are of little import. Far more important is how long I can keep myself out of cover before my shields are gone: the Geth wins over most races here. Any argument can be made that their dodge is less useful than some other races, but even still "glass cannon" seems like an inappropriate moniker.

Shut up, filthy asari. ALL HAIL THE PURE TURIAN RACE.

jk, but actually, this loadout might go well with my Turian sentinel. He's got overload, stability... dat reach, dat flexibility...

My build IS a Glass Canon, NOTHING in Fitness. That is fragile.

I state in the guide that a huntermodeless maxed out fitness GE is very durable, the opposite of mine.

The Saber GE has been my favorite class since unlocking the Saber last week, though I use a 46646 build. Don't really care for the glass cannon approach, prefer to have a larger margin of error. I've enjoyed the flame turret in past builds, but I'm not sure it does enough in terms of added damage and drawing aggro to justify fully speccing the turret (particularly zeroing advanced hardware to do it). The Saber I is kind of heavy, but the GE can still spam overload in under four seconds with this build, which is plenty when you're peppering enemies with Saber rounds.

Great stuff!  And good timing for me, personally - I was just thinking it was about time to take my GE out for a spin (only used HEs so far).

Really appreciate these guides: particularly the 'road less travelled' approach, which makes them both interesting & useful.  (I'd probably still be trying & failing to get 'Unwavering' on Reactor if not for the AJ Bulwark...)

EDIT

In haste I copied the DPS number 648.27 instead of the base damage number 486.2
...The Saber X cannot body shot cerb troops on gold (perhaps it can body shot nemesis ..)

It's very enjoyable. Hunter Mode makes the Saber even better than it is with even more accuracy and ROF. You can snipe, cqc, just a very good weapon.

What is it with trolls today? Go find a bridge to play under....

I happen to like the Saber, so I'll give this a shot next time the store gives me a reset card.

I too enjoy your guides, Stardusk. They are very helpful. I also enjoy seeing the verbal sparring in about half of them as you defend your words against the troll horde...

Cool guide, Stardusk. The builds you showcase are almost always eye opening for me.

My only trouble is trying to replicate the kind of results seen in your guides using lower-end weapons. I have the worst luck with the random drops.

Erm, is accuracy even an issue with the Saber?  I would lean more towards power recharge myself.  But I gotta say, the rate of headshots you get outside of a scope is simply unfair.  It's like you sleep with a gun, and when you go hunting, you aim for the head rather than the heart;).

Your name wouldn't happen to be "Doug" now would it?:D:

Thanks for the information, Stardusk! I'm always seeking out new ideas on builds and weapon combos. You put a lot of effort into your guides, and they are much appreciated. :)

The thing about weapon speced hunter mode is that most weapons will benefit from it. Find a decent weapon you like, practise with it and you should be fine.
