...But ME3, and the entire ME Trilogy... Despite all disadvantages ME Trilogy has the highest artistic value among ALL games in game development history.
So please, do not compare ME3 to Diablo3 please...

True, but at least Diablo 3 had an actually coherent ending.
That being said I still prefer Mass Effect to Diablo, did find diablo fun though.

No matter the scores, Diablo III (and most other Blizzard games) are epic fail... Not in terms of money making of course, but in terms of artistic value. Blizzard makes trashy and completely outdated games, no matter how long does it take... It's just a fact...

People don't buy games because they're artsy fartsy, they buy them because they are fun to play and have a good story (though admittedly, nowadays most games don't). So screw your art.

I'd say Quantic Dream games have higher artistic value than the ME series, albiet not in a way that particularly forwards games as an art form in their own right.
Likewise I'd say Rockstar are close, too. Perhaps not to the level of other studios, though primarily because their focus is on violent settings, and not really as much characterisation as I'd like. I still love Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire though, despite their flaws.
I'd also argue that there are some nuggets of interesting story in Blizzard games, but the lack of decent writing stymies any progress towards validation as art.
On saying this, however, one must consider www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/art/news/blank-canvas-london-gallery-unveils-invisible-art-exhibition-7767057.html . If that can be called art, then pretty much anything can, especially those people have been championing for so long.

Diablo received bad scores for other reasons than the story. And Mass Effect 3 is an okay game, not marvelous. Untill the end, that is.Seival wrote...

Artistic value is not just art value. It's value of all game's aspects, including the story.

not one purchase of mine was ever influenced by a pre -,review or some score on a website or magazine.
i never visited metacritic, but i did now out of curiosity, and really, a difference by 1% ...
if going by score, for me anyway, ME3 got rated way to high.

Diablo 3's story is a joke. It's so bad, so predictable and so corny.
It was never intended to be anything more than a dungeon crawl. Just like the previous two.
"Moo. moo MOO moo."
If it has a secret 'cow level" you can bet that story is not a driving force of the game.
