Diablo III score less than Mass Effect 3 on Metacritic

That being said both games are similar in that they are great games with one glaring overpowering flaw that seems to cast a shadow over everything else. In Diablo 3 characters constantly jump around the screen as the connection spikes. It happens constantly. No one would care if Diablo 3 was an MMO, because people expect that with MMOs. But Diablo 3 is not an MMO so the server/connection issues just anger customers who thought they were buying a good single player game and end up having to put up with crap they should not have to.

You mean... they're just as bad as everyone else, and are being stumped as an example of what to do by bitter Mass Effect fans desperately looking for any company that isn't Electronic Arts?
I'm SHOCKED by this.
SHOCKED, I say!

Their achievement in video games was integrating story to the game to an extent no other games have been able to before.
That said, the actual story in Quantic Dream is pretty cliche and drab.
That 'short' Quantic Dream made recently with that AI girl was very impressive graphically, but conceptually and narratively absolutely laughable (even for a 'short'), a decent but juvenile attempt at 'deep thought provoking story' at best.

People saying Diablo 3 is just linear/boring RPG are missing the point just as much as people saying Mass Effect is just a mediocre shooter.

You have to consider that there are lot of people who just down-rate games made by EA just because it's EA.

uh... yes. it is. pretty much Diablo, Diablo II and Diablo III are ALL Gauntlet clones.Master Che wrote...
I played Diablo 1 years ago. It was fun but got old after a little while. I never finished it because it felt like a modern version of Gauntlet.
Blizzard just added a 12 year development cycle and lots of expensive side projects (like the Book of Decard Cain on display at conventions).

The point is, D3 was so hyped, not just by Developers, but by fans alike.. There r videos and 9gag posts and so much about Diablo 3, And even though it took them 10 long years to release the game, still it got 88 on Metacritic. While Mass Effect 3, which was not as much hyped as Diablo 3, and even with a crappy ending, it still beat Diablo 3 with 89 score (93 on XBox)...Mister Mida wrote...
The point, where is it?
I know the reviewers never took ending into account, but still, those same reviews never took the launch day misshap on D3 too either... So it even outs and ME3 wins....
I just wanna say, even with all its flaws, ME3 is a marvelous game, and I hope BioWare does the right thing now, by giving it the ending it deserves....

Can't believe all these years Diablo took and this is what they put out, fun game sure but nowhere near worth $60, should skipped it and just waited for Torchlight 2, still gonna get Torchlight 2 though.
Im suffering with major buyers remorse after forking out the best part of fifty quid for D3.
DRM and connection issues aside the game just isnt that good and no where near worth the price being charged.
Severly hit by the "dumb it down" bat compared to the previous Diablo titles. Effectivley all the fun elements (like looting spells for a mage for example) are gone.
TBH i expected more from it, after all i only waited 12 years for it.

Blizzard doesn't even try. Something about good vs. evil and unredeemable cameo appearances from other people's games. *Cough*Arthas*Cough* *Cough*Zeikfried from Soulcalibur*Cough*
Haven't played diablo 3 yet, but it's easy to guess Chris Metzen's MO.

No matter the scores, Diablo III (and most other Blizzard games) are epic fail... Not in terms of money making of course, but in terms of artistic value. Blizzard makes trashy and completely outdated games, no matter how long does it take... It's just a fact...
Single celled organisms are "outdated" too, yet without them you would not be here. Just because something is old, doesn't make it bad.
In fact, I would love to play a new sidescroller, for instance. Plus, in RTS'es, no one has even managed to make a campaign as good as that in Tiberian Sun (mechanics-wise, anyway), in my humble opinion, and that's definitely an outdated game.
So please, have an opinion all you want, but don't dismiss something simply because you perceive it to be "outdated".

Why D3 gets review bombed on Metacritic : " I CAN'T FUKKIN LOGIN DA GAEIM I PAID FOR IN THE RELEASE NIGHT FFS! OH AND I ALSO GET 1 SHOTTED UN UNFERNO WITH BAD GEARSZZ!!"
Conclusion, people are silly...
BUT STILL ME3 ENDING IS BAD /RAAAAAGEEEEEE/

D3 is not the super-duper hit but it is a solid game and at least it is a game and not 70% cutcenes or rendered movies.

Then again this is the same series where the protagonist from the first game thought the best thing to do was jam an evil stone into his own forehead so story was never the series' strong point.

I hope this always on DRM does not become the norm. Mass effect 3 was annoying enough to get up through origin.
( Ems doesnt count when offline and the server has to verify my dlc every load up)

D3 longevity is twice its predecessor, an the story is actually engaging, only Diablo design sucks, but anything else about is is almost perfect.
If you judge a game based on Metacritic scores it shows your intellect being even lower than theirs.
Who's most foolish, the fool, or the guy who follows it?
Also, lols at the people here for saying D3 story was s**t, when ME3 ending is considerated by the same people to be worst than a knife up your ass...
