EDIT: sonofa-

Okay, so since Someone said we'd have the DLC characters to help with the next operation, and we will probably lose a lot of players this weekend (Memorial Day Weekend in the US) does anyone else think we wont have an Op this weekend?

Us British Demand one, London's not going to get saved without a dent in the number of boss units.

I wasn't sure, but your argument persuaded me

Edit: Now the text is here, I still think there will be one, but it will probably be a lot easier than others

It'd be a bit dumb to cancel for something that only the US gives a toss about.

Certainly possible, but I wouldn't consider it likely.

I can definitely see them skipping this weekend's operation for the reasons you listed, though I suppose we'll know for certain if Wednesday comes and goes without an announcement. I really don't think it's in their best interests to skip it though, even if they did promise Vorcha for the next op. I know a ton of people who've pretty much stopped playing aside from the occasional game and weekend ops. Going a full month without giving tiring players a reason to put the disc in the drive, Bioware might lose them for good.

I am hoping for a 4 day event(Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday).

Perhaps BW/EA are cooking up something much bigger than we could ever anticipate.

Or they are taking the weekend off for a big picnic using the insane profits they recieved from this game.

I think we'll get an OP this week.

BioWare is a Canadian country, by the way, they don't care about our Memorial Days.

Memorial day's just one country, I'm sure the rest of us can hold our own.

Understandable, Although I meant they'll lose players from the US that celebrate it.

Given how that last 2 operations went, subtracting anymore players is basically going to guarantee a loss.

It's as well Pentecost this weekend. But as Easter did not prevent an event to take place, why should any other Holiday?

I think BioWare must've realised by now that noone really cares about Victory packs. It's squad goals people are interested in, and total population doesn't affect anyone's chances at those whatsoever.

Anyway, I'd imagine the logic would be closer to 'let's do an event to try and keep people online' rather than 'screw it, let them go'.

And Diablo III was recently released. I'm guessing a huge chunk of the player base was lost to that game.

Been waiting for the game for years, it was an easy transition. I might play ME3 again when a patch is released. Or the suspected DLC.

Nah, play ME3 as an infiltrator behind cover with your right hand, play click-click-pinata on Diablo3 with your left on your power laptop.

Problem solved.:D

Tell the truth, do you prefer staring at an "Error 37" screen than playing ME3?
In any case, I am looking forward to Torchlight II (which is the "real" Diablo 2 sequel, since it is developed by the Diablo original team, while Diablo 3 has been developed by the WoW staff...), but in the meantime, ME3 and World of Tanks fill my time perfectly.

1. Chris stated dlc announcement will come "before the end of the month"
2. Over this past weekend, Resurgence announcement was removed from Main Menu screen.
3. Resurgence announcement was followed by a Resurgence "Operation" where all you had to do was play on one of the new maps.

Therefore,
my prediction is Rebellion officially gets announced Tuesday PST,
Operation Rebellion gets announced Thursday PST, "Operation" involves
playing on new maps.

I figured that considering Operation Silencer was one week ago, and they have an event every two weeks, the answer was pretty obvious.

If Rebellion is announced tomorrow it would either be released that day (very unlikely) or released next Tuesday after the event

Actually an Operation would be happening this weekend.

Weekend 1: Operation.
Weekend 2: None
Weekend 3: Operation

is how it works.
