I don't care if it's reworked to be less OP (not that I personally care if it is in a single player game).  As for 'teh lore', then I'm sure Bioware can come up with a suitable excuse like the did for Origins to have it present in the game.  Mind you, I think that like most other classes, it was only necessary to unlock it in one playthrough and free to use for your player mage and companion mages from the start (more or less).

Maybe we could have an Arcane Warrior companion?  I mean who knows what's out there.

My first playthrough in DAO I went right for the arcane warrior. Mostly so I could get away from the ugly robes they make mages wear. lol

My first mage ended up as one of these. He got all the best armours and double-handed swords.

Arcane Warrior was my favorite class and the only way i could play a mage in DA:O because of the boring pew pew pew raise staff casting and staff attack animations. That was the only thing i liked about DA 2 was that my mage actually used his staff as a melee weapon.

Haha, I totally went this spec on my Mage in DA:O. Just to avoid the robes and dunce caps they wear. I do miss AW though...=(

I never liked the staffs much for weaponry in Origins, I always used whatever spells I'd learned over them.  Can't say I enjoyed the melee gimmick from DA2 (although I hate it for all classes), it got boring for me real quick.

Yes lets have the Arcane Warrior back so we can easily solo the game on Nightmare(at a certain point),I want my party to feel useless/pointless in combat.Playing as a Arcane Warrior was basically cheating.I'm glad they got rid of it.

They can nerf it to hell (though I hope they'd simply tweak it), as long as they bring it back. It's just too cool.

The same can be said for all the weirder specializations though - they were sorely missed in DA2. I actually ran a heavy armor wearing blood mage for a while, and that was fun. Would have been better if I could have used something other than a staff though.

I'm wondering how someone else playing as an Arcane Warrior in a singleplayer game affects you.  Or were Bioware holding a gun to your head in Origins and making you play it that way?

Nerf it or not, I don't care.  People enjoyed it and would like to see it back.

I would like it they added the mirror spec as well ?spirit warrior? from awakening as I felt that was always an option that deserved far more exploration than it got in game.
