Oh, so people are "entitled whiners" for hating Blizzard's bulls*** always-online DRM now? How come I didn't get a memo about this?

Well damn, I guess I better quit my bawling and do exactly what Blizzard and these high-and-mighty paid journalists expect of me, then. I don't wanna come off as entitled to the products I pay for. :D

There are a bunch of articles about it and its becoming a big trend. Not that I really care, just more of a "how the f**k dare they?"

Gamers who don't like or want DRM need to stop tolerating it and truly not support it.

@ green...exactly!!!

The increasingly stricter DRM and the media crusade against "entitlement" is really setting a dangerous precedent against the consumer - take into consideration the deluge of nickel and dime DLCs and the "casualization" of games, and I'm looking at giving up gaming as a hobby. :/

Its ad hominum. We call BS on their products, they call us whiny boshtets. They dont address the issue, they just say our feedback isn't worth anything.

To be fair, for the most part it isnt.

I was on the Blizz forum when the servers were down on sunday, hoping to get some info and all I found was a 300 page thread full of links to "get a free trojan" porn sites, insults and copypaste BS.

LOL. I think Diablo III may very well be the first massively single-player online RPG - Blizzard is a really s***ty company for doing this to players. I hope they choke on Diablo III and all future titles they disgrace the market with.

They'll keep doing it because there are too many players who think like this:

Ya the DRM sucks but it's not going away anytime soon, so get used to it.

Fools and their money.

Exactly. As if there needed to be any more red flags but people bought it anyway. This is why the industry treats gamers like sh*t. Because they can.

what?...

edit: ooooh, you were talking about feedback. Theres a difference between posting porn on Blizzard's forums and posting what OP did. Its not that hard to differentiate. What you're describing isn't feedback, its spam. Spam isn't feedback nor are they interchangeable.

Ah, Blizzard, didn't you just mock Bioware a short while ago?

Anyway, the DRM situation is ridiculous. I mean, Origin is annoying too but Blizzard just took it to a whole new level.

Yea, I posted about that.

I was able to finally get in just now after sitting out for almot 40 hours. It seems the latency issue is going down and the stutter bug a bit. So at least they're working on those well. Hopefully it's fully fixed this week.

The hacking has me concerned because people who have Blizzard Authenticator on their account is getting hacked too. The only way that is possible is either A LOT of people are lying(doubtful) or Blizzard's entire system is compromised. Blizzard might not necessarily be lying about the secret breach because they don't even know the full details on it yet...

I changed my password and updated my Auth information just in case. The game definitely already has a major problem with Chinese farmers. I get them in my public games often. They're usually not a big problem though, so I don't care.

Supposedly a Eurogamer writer got hacked, too. This real-money auction house has theft and trouble written all over it. Now there is real world money involved and that attracts massive problems. Lots of gamers got their gold and loot stripped bare.

Man, what a pathetic mess this game is. If this was Bethesda and not precious Blizzard, people would scream bloody murder.

Precisely. Im not a big fan of Jim Sterling but his philosophy is correct: No one is ever going to beat piracy, it is too big and spread. There are however, ways of controlling it, minimize it.
What blizzard is doing is literally punishing the paying user, while a pirate will just have to wait for a crack/emu. server and be golden(if they could with WoW, they can D3)
This isn't how you fight piracy, that's how you encourage it.
But with so many retard sheeps who keep buying their sh¡t, theres no reason for them to stop

Hmmm...Blizzard made Goldfarming and digitalgoods trading very lucrative. This might be an outside problem.

If it was Bioware they'd be doing even more.

OP is a whiner. I haven't had 1 problem with the game and I've put in over 30 hours of gametime. I can run it on a 8 year old PC (mind you on low settings) and I'm having a blast.

Ya the DRM sucks but it's not going away anytime soon, so get used to it.

Oh and LOL at the game was rushed.  It's been in the works for 10 years.  It's not perfect but it's a fun game.

In fact my only gripe is that Legendary items aren't "Legendary" and also the skill/rune system leaves something to be desired.  I liked allocating my own stats and skills to make truely unique characters in D2.

Just because YOU'RE having a good experience doesn't mean everybody else is. Don't call me a whiner when you don't know my situation. Thank you very much.

Just because you're not having a good experience doesn't mean it's a complete fiasco. QQ more.

Tens (maybe hundreds) of thousands of people having an unplayable game and it isn't a fiasco?

Have you paid attention to anything said in this thread?

On-topic OP that's some grade-A bull**** right there. Blizzard have ****ed up - even more than Bioware has it seems.

Nah, I just know how to prioritize my stuffh. None of my friends are having any problems with the game either, sure one of them got hacked, but that's his own fault for not having an authenticator.

Stop creating new topics about D3 you imbeciles ... Use the current ones from few pages earlier.

We have dismissed that claim. D3 is a failure.

its no big secret that choosing between logging into diablo 3 or dropping a chainsaw on your foot is a legitimate dilemma right now. Why criticize people who bought the game for being frustrated? They SHOULD be angry, wouldnt YOU be angry if you dropped 60bucks on a product that was broken the moment you cracked the lid?

At the very least, the idea about never buying an MMO at launch is a well-founded principle.
