You did not,but Shepard did. And without Liara(comic) saving Shepards "dead" a**,there is no ME2. So Liara should mean that much more to you,as you love the ME2 characters. As Liara is one of the main reasons ME2 can take place.

Hackett and Liara are solely responsible for finding the Crucible. Liara also has plot armor. Liara also mind melds in ME1 helping you a great deal. She helps you on Illium,slightly. Liara cares for Shepard as much as Tali or Garrus,and retrieves your body before ME2,so there can be a ME2. Without Liara the franchise would have died. It makes sense to remember a women who has help so much during the Reaper conflict. I would have loved to see all characters though,even the dead ones. I am about to join them ya know?

I am upset with Joker,although this is the 2nd time Joker has watched me die. It is fitting that I think of him as I
pass. I blame Joker!!! IMO Joker is the most unimportant thing to happen to ME,aside from Chobot.

As you can see, I am a Mirimancer, always have been, and always will be. I only see Liara as a Good Friend, and nothing more, which is something that I fear BioWare does not see.

I wanted to see an scene of Shepard hearing Tali saying, "I want more time" if you picked the destroy ending with enough EMS. It'd make it seem like he survived out of such strong willpower.

well, it was stated their was a bug or glitch in the cinematics before the game came out. with a pc you can repair that using mods to get your me2 li. i hope it will be patched

My Shepard never had a relationship with Liara. How the hell is Liara Canon? A Canon Romance should NOT be predetermined by the Developers for a Game where you make YOUR OWN Choices, especially Romance. The Player chooses who their Canon Romance is, not BioWare. And My Canon Romance is with Miranda.

^This hearsay is probably the closest answer. They only used the three faces they knew would absolutely be in the game.

So if this is the best case scenario, I spent $70 for a problem-riddled, rushed game. Nice. How entitled of me to complain.

Sucks for console users, then, huh? What good does it do if you've already played the game. What is seen can't be unseen.

It also doesn't explain the same "glitch" within dialog througout the game.

The evidence of Shepard being in love with Liara is canon is overwhelming.  She can't be killed, and in every single game, their are "glitches" that make it appear that Shepard and Liara are in a relationship, even if Shepard did not choose to.  Sure, Shepard can choose to sleep with Miranda even though he is secretly in love with Liara, but ultimately he cannot choose how he feels inside.

But I didn't have any glitches. I steered clear of lots of Paragon Options when talking to her in ME1, I did NO Paragin Interrupts in LOTSB, and I didn't hug her in LOTSB. And I was VERY Careful in ME3.

No, you can't. If you're on the PC, you can 'fix' it by entirely replacing the Liara cutscene .bik file with ones fans themselves have made.

There just aren't flashbacks of the ME2/3 LI's. At all. Anywhere. They don't exist.

Oh, oh. Not to mention that if you are femshep, even if you could care less about Jacob, you come off as a crazed stalker. Dialog options all lead to: "so what's up with your lady friend, huh?... Who is she? ...Hey, Jacob. Who is that woman?"

WTF? And it's designed that way so if you, as femshep, romanced Jacob it would add continuity to the storyline. However, if you did NOT romance him, it is awkward, annoying, and makes no sense.

theoretically this could have been intended from the beginning of the franchise. this would explain why Liara is one of the few squadmates that can not die and why Asari can have children with either gender
