As you can see, I am a Mirimancer, always have been, and always will be. I only see Liara as a Good Friend, and nothing more, which is something that I fear BioWare does not see.:(

I fully agree,I am a Talimancer. I also believe that Liara will have a "Shepard baby",if you allow her to "share memories".

A "good friend" is ok to see/think about at your death. IMO. As I said I would have loved more depth to ME3 overall, not just at this point. Although I find it completely understandable why Liara would cross my mind in my final moments. As I would not be here, without her.

I=Shepard.

But I didn't have any glitches. I steered clear of lots of Paragon Options when talking to her in ME1, I did NO Paragin Interrupts in LOTSB, and I didn't hug her in LOTSB. And I was VERY Careful in ME3.

Being careful doesn't have anything to do with it, on my last run, I barely even talked to her, but her dad still thought we wre dating.

That's why I reloaded and NEVER talked to her dad again.

That still won't stop Liara from from bragging to her dad about sleeping with you.  My theory is that all Commander Shepards sleep with Liara on the way to the Mu relay, but Mass Effect 1 suffers from an unreliable narrative.  Mass Effect 1 is actually just the way Shepard remembers those events after being resurrected in ME2.  If Shepard thinks that his date for the trip to the Mu relay was Ashley, Kaiden, or Rosey Palms, it's just because Miranda ran out of medigel and couldn't completely repair his brain.

well that merge was meant for Liara to be impregnated with Shepards children.

theoretically this could have been intended from the beginning of the franchise. this would explain why Liara is one of the few squadmates that can not die and why Asari can have children with either gender

HA! My Renegade FemShep said NO to her on that.

Sorry, Liara. You're not violating MY genes!

Ok, I agree with you now. For making that decision, the game knows you dislike Liara. Yet she ends up cramming her way into your mind at the last second somehow.

Turns out rapists exist in all species, including the Asari. It's probably to be expected though, Liara's parents most likely never taught her the concept of "no means no."

There's always Garrus, who is for my money the best romance in the series, whether it's got bro- prefixed or not.

This is true.
But then - I still didn't see him when I was falling in the void. And it still doesn't resolve the fact that hetero broshep can wh**e around but hetero femshep can't.

Bugged me that there was no Tali or Garrus. they were both around since the beginning and fought alongside shep for all three games. If you didn't romance her, one of the dextros should take her place.

She is the most schizoid and most.....blue? Some of the stuff you said is opinion and some is just wrong.

Pretty obvious. She's the only one that cannot die and as such the only way to make this scene independent from any choices. Which is another way of saying "rushed game" I guess.

I didn't mind, though, even in my Talimancer playthrough. Always liked her a lot(canon LI for me) and she did save Sheps a** by helping bringing him back from the dead. And she was the only one at that I might add. The other squad mates (and LIs) didn't really give a sh*t about it.

I love knowing my other squaddies were able to move on with their lives like normal people, unlike that blue thing that instead obsessed over the corpse of someone who (in my game) despised her.

Why did it HAVE to be Liara though?  Why not just make it so that Cerberus recovered his body?  Nobody would have questioned it, and no character favoritism would have been necessary.

Apparently Bioware wanted to try to pull some connection to ME1, as if having Cerberus and the Mass Effect universe in general wasn't enough. It was a stupid decision on their part. I've been saying for ages they should never have brought in any former squadmate.

*sigh* I´m starting to wonder if people even know how mind melding works. By your logic Liara would have been pregnant back in ME1 and the same goes for Shiala.

Garrus and Tali, notwithstanding.

I hate for this to turn into an anti-Liara thread, but making her the one that gets your body both 1) creeps me out and 2) is entirely unnecessary in the grand scheme of things and could have EASILY been streamlined to just Cerbersus.

Ashley was a LI in ME1 too, but, wow, from the way she's handled throughout the series in comparison to Liara, you'd think the writers actively despise her and anyone who associates with her.

My Renegade Shepard was nothing but mean to Liara, yet she still acts like we're one true loves... all the way to my grave.

Oh god this yeah, i can understand Joker and Anderson but come one Liara? i barely spent any extra time with her at all. Why didn't i think of Jack, the woman I spent a whole game romancing before promising not to leave her? But instead i think of Liara?

no, my Shepard is better than that

It's because Liara's a babe and even your Shepard secretly loves her, he/she was just trying to deny it by sleeping with others.

During the various mind-melds Shepard had with Liara, Liara implanted herself into your unconscious.

That's just how she rolls.

Which is funny because I can't understand why my Shepard would think about Anderson and Joker. She's a spacer, she'd probably think about her mother.

No by your assumption of their logic.
I assume her intent was to impregnate herself at the end of ME3,not during ME1. We understand that mind melding can create Asari children. Her intent is what changed. Your assumption may be wrong. Physical encounters are not needed to reproduce with Asari.

I never bothered with the romances, so I just assume Liara raped Shepard at some point. Death finally brought it to the forefront of her subconscious.

Honestly, though, I don't like the idea of Joker being there either, but I don't find this to be a huge issue. It should have been a ME1 - ME3 Normandy crew shot if anything, but I probably wouldn't be completely satisfied unless Shepard looked back at the Guardian, and her last thoughts were a long string of letters that read: "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKKKKK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU."
