Technically, a geth can use biotics, given the right tools. After all, it's just a series of electrical impulses going through element zero.

Yeah, but that ruins the awesome tanking prowress of being able to have a drone guarding you, being able to restore your shields by detonating your armor and draining enemies to keep yourself alive.

So a grenade that sets up biotic explosions makes the KS a biotic? Geth can't have biotics. Also, a class with DM, ED, and DD would be so fun to use. It'll make tanking viable on Gold.

No, but it allows Krogans to fit the default Tech/Biotic Sentinel.
If you agree Geth can't have Biotics, don't ask for Geth Sentinels. Sentinels are and have always been Tech and Biotic

I see them more as tanks. A sentinel mixes powers witha defensive power. By your logic, a glass canon sentinel would still be a sentinel.

That's kind of what the human sentinals are<_<

But I digress; Your post is extremely well written and thought out, and several of the classes actually seem plausible. Not too powerful, not too weak.

humal sentinal is awesome. why no love for it?

Sentinels are defined as Biotic/Tech hybrids, who just happen to be good at providing defenses. A glass cannon sentinel would still be a Sentinel, provided they use Tech and Biotics.

I am pretty sure that this is right, which makes me wonder... Why haven't they tried that?

Saving it for later DLC.

I don't really like it that much. It's an asari adept that's also not a very good tank. It's better than the Turian Sentinel at tanking but it's not really that great of a class.

The humans that I like using are the Adept (bronze and silver only), Soldier, Vanguard, Infiltrator and Engineer. I'm surprised that people don't like the HI. Decent weapon damage + sticky grenades which do a craplad of damage.

I don't really see the ME1 sentinel as a true sentinel. Mostly since it wasn't a very good class. In 2 things changed it became more of a shotgunning tank who spammed tech armor while stripping defences.

Yeah, as already stated, your Geth isn't a Sentinel. That's an Engineer, as those are all Tech powers.

As for Sentinels, I'd rather see a Salarian wth Tech Armor, Energy Drain, and a new defensive techy Biotic power that funnels mass effect fields through the Omnitool's minifacturing fabricators to create a reflective stationary barrier you can take cover behind anywhere you want. That would be the ultimate tank, and cover that reflects damage back at enemies sounds like it would open up awesome new tactical possibilities.

I just think this game has all the offensive classes it needs, and could use a few more great defensive ones to compensate. I could be alone here though.

You're definitely not alone there. I'd love some super defensive classes.

Salarian biotics are spies, not warriors. They don't fight in squads.

Hold on. You're ignoring the definition of a class because you dislike it? That could be the most ridiculous thing you've posted on this thread.

I'm saying that Bioware changed the focus of the class due to a negative fan response. And the most ridiculous thing I've ever posted on BSN was suggesting that Chobot voice the PC in DA3.

Wesus, perhaps he's thinking ahead of the Rebellion leak and further into the future.

Suprised you have not included and new gametypes or objectives, OP, those are some well needed additions too.

I think this is a new record. Usually, people are demanding more right after the DLC comes out, but you're doing it BEFORE.

First of all, I'm not arguing focus of the class, I'm just stating that they have always been Tech and Biotic.

Second of all, don't even joke about including Chobot in anything ever again Posted Image

They only changed the focus of the class SLIGHTLY. They didn't take any of the focus off having BOTH biotic and tech powers, they just gave sentinels a useful defensive ability in addition to that. You notice how all the sentinels currently in MP have both a biotic AND a tech ability? (even if for humans that tech ability is just tech armor.)

Edit: I just want to say that I still really like the idea of the geth prototype, it's just not a sentiel.

Ok then.  Where are the vanguards' combat powers? Huh?  They are suposed to be 50/50 combat/biotics and I'm not seeing it.  Seriously.  Things change over time.  Accept it and try to be a little less beligerant about it.  Okay?

I'd love to see a six mission co-op campaign with more linear maps. One for each system.

Say...  Zorya (Traverse
Sur'Kesh (Inner Council Space)
Khar'Shan (Alliance Space)
Bekenstien (Outer Council Space)
Omega (Terminus)

I feel that they need to stop focusing on new characters and maps, and get new game modes out ASAP. That is what will really prolong the life of their game. The rest is just a band-aid that helps the problem temporarily.

Krogans have Carnage, but the Vanguard split isn't meant to be 50/50, so the MP prioritises Biotic powers over Combat. In SP the only combat powers for Vanguards are Ammo Powers which wouldn't work in MP

But there are still combat powers for Vanguards in SP, and you're arguing that Sentinels don't have Biotics.

Edit: Also even in ME1, the extent of Combat powers for Vanguards were Assault Training and Tactical Armour
