The entire Mass Effect trilogy was just an old tale that an old man told to his grandson.
Different playthroughs with different decisions means that the old man is telling it differently.

Bioware says there is no canon. He is simply there to do one thing for me. He's like a blooper presented at the end of credits.
Too bad Buzz.

The way I see it, Shepard just dreamed him up, nothing has to fit.Taboo-XX wrote...

I mean, she is a great friend and everything, but love making? Kinda gross if you asked me. Pretty much bestiality! "Gliding one's hands through love interests tentacle hair..." Gross!
Who would want to be like Jay from "Jay and Silent Bob"???
"There he goes.... Homeboy ****ed a Martian once "
haha!

While not a particular fan of the Liara romance, I have to point out that bestiality involves sexual relations with a non-sentient being, the description of which clearly does not apply to Liara, or any other bipedal alien species in the ME-verse. So, no bestiality here...

A lot of the details in Mass Effect 2 and 3 seemed a bit farfetched to me, so this is how I have made sense of them.
Dismissed.
