It just needs more detailing aswell, the different panelling adds a lot of character to the jacket, as seen in game. The photo posted looks...well a bit generic.

I think the worn/weathered look adds a lot to a jacket too, which is why I love Superdry leather jackets, as they look like they've been worn for years. I doubt it'll be an option to get one weathered, but personally speaking I would love the option. Wishful thinking there I know.

Anyway can't wait to see more photos of how it's developing.

From what I've seen from the picture it looked good. But I would like to suggest (aside from the ones that already been suggested like a darker red on the stripes and worn/weathered look, etc) embroidering the N7 logo (like the elite hoodie 'cause the one in the picture looks like a patch) 'cause I think it'll look a bit more closer like in the game.

Out of curiosity, who's making the jacket? Will it have CE approved armor, or have pockets to insert armor?

Personally, aside from the bright red (since as it gets dirty, it will get darker), I wish they could get rid of the two stitch lines across the vest. Besides, that I think there really isn't anything they could realistically do that would make it look closer to the videos games.

Uh, they could try fixing the collar and removing those buttons for a start

 Hi,

I have to say, I agree with what seems to be the majority opinion here - fix the collar to make it match the in-game jacket.  I, like others want the jacket from the Mass Effect universe, not a biker jacket with an N7 patch on it.

Also, it looks like the jacket in game is brown and red leather, not black.  The picture on your facebook page looks like it's black?  And the red looks too bright, as others have stated.

And somebody mentioned a bit closer fitting, I agree.

Anyway, hope you see fit to make THE jacket, not just one based off it, cos you'll probably sell a lot more.  I'd have one, for sure.

It just looks cooler here: http://i43.tinypic.com/1hf5ut.png

No news yet? How long does it usually take from concept stage to finished product?

Give them time. I don't wanna rush them if it means we'll get a worse product.

*insert ME3 ending joke here.*

Ok I admit that I'm bumping this thread every now and then but that's just because I really, really want this jacket :-) So in other words, could we expect any news soon? ;-)

We didn't like the design of the first one, just didn't seem right. So, we've had to go back to the drawing board - including finding a new manufacturer. Once we get a design that we think is up to par, we'll let you see it and get more feedback.

Looks like early next year.

Better to make sure that we really like the jacket, then release a product that we can't stand behind 100% -- that's out stance when it comes to items that we are producing in-house.

That's the only stance to take as far as I'm concerned. Thanks a lot for the update! At least now I'll have even more time to save up money for it :-)

Just wondering what the latest is on this project? Is it still ongoing or has it been cancelled?

My guess the project has been cancelled but several people seem to selling replica jackets, probably for the best.

An official Bioware jacket would probably retail upwards of $500(they seem to love that number)

Well I for one hope that the project is still alive. I'd much rather spend $500 or above on something that looks good than spend money on the cheap looking replicas I've seen on the net. Hopefully Ms Domino will be able to give an update soon.

You would seriously spend ~$500 on a BioWare made leather jacket?

So... 8 months ago it was potentially "early next year."

Any updates?

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Any updates would be nice.
