Or you could properly equip and spec Liara and Tali, walk into a battle, find cover, go grab a soda, come back and wait for the noise to die down as they floated and exploded everything around the room.  There were entire missions in later playthroughs where I never fired a shot.

This is actually a good idea and if I edit my savegame in ME3, I could get rid of all the time sinks.... I mean "space exploration".

i didnt saw any notable influences on movement and accuracy.  i played with soldier and vanguard. so i used all 3 armor types.
there isnt any description that ..
ok, it seems you are right. i just checked me wikia.
but there isnt any ingame description that tells me light armor was in any case different then heavy armor but stats.

Well, yea ... but did they really need to tell you.  It's pretty much implied in the names.

It would be like I told you there were light, medium and heavy gloves.  Light were driving gloves, medium were ski gloves and heavy were welding gloves.  Then I told you that after you put on a pair we were going to go out and shoot a gun, you'd have a pretty good idea that the heavier the glove, the more difficult it would be to use and aim the gun.

Same concept with the armor.

i think they needed to tell me. i saw that in most cases heavy armor have better stats, medium armor have medium stats and light armor have lowest stats with slight differentiation and thought thats that.
i didnt noticed any notable gameplay change, i mean running or accuracy when i equipped either one.
and accuracy is abstract in the game anyway, i doesnt have anything to do with my skill as a player.

The only problem with ME1 is that at a certain point of the game you can fire almost unlimitedly from a gun while barely ever overheating with the right upgrades.

I'd rather they remake Mass Effect 2 and 3 with the gameplay from the first.

Personally I loved that stats played as big a part in the combat as my ability to point a cross-hair and go pew-pew.

I loved being able to swap weapons, armour and upgrades out on the fly to deal with changing situations.

I loved comparing the differences between pieces of loot and deciding which to keep and which to sell or convert to omni-gel.

I loved being able to crouch to take advantage of cover without the need to be pressed against it and that how crouching increased your accuracy.

I loved a cover system that didn't stick me to walls when I was trying to get out of enemy fire.

I loved how exploration rewarded you with little things, such as the alternate route into Saren's base on Virmire, and that I wasn't just funnelled down corridors filled with chest high walls.

Mass Effect 1 had its flaws. The texture pop-in, the repetition of side-quest buildings and how the inventory could become cluttered if you didn't pay attention, are things that stand out for me.

Over-all however I'd still rather play Mass Effect 1 over its two sequels.

Mass Effect 1 is already the best game in the trilogy, it doesn't need to be remade.

though with updated graphics I think it be better - visually speaking.

similar to Final Fantasy IV remake on the DS. That turned out to be a masterpiece

and what's wrong with that? Don't give me the "it's too easy type of answer."  because amp up the difficulty to Insanity mode. The fact that you can fire almost unlimitedly is show the greatness of the RPG mechanics in ME1.

The player has to get far in the game, buy the right mods, all in order that his/her character and squad have that great feature. Bioware makes this a challenge. But it's a well worth goal in achievement

I think BioWare needs to make ME3 Insanity difficulty harder. As for ME1 the only thing I wish they would change is the moving from cover to cover and getting into cover, otherwise I wouldn't change a thing about ME1.

Damn right it is. Insanity is by no means a cake walk, especially when going up against a charging Krogan lol.

If it would finally get us 1 for the ps3, I'd be all for it.

Well, as long as the Mako handles better.
