 Hello

I just bought and start playing Dragon Age: Origins, I have just start so please, be carefull with spoilers.

I have just start playing the game, and this is my first game with this combat system RPG and I have a few doubts and questions, but first I would like to give my thanks for taking the time to help me:

What group strategies could I follow(When you are 4 partners)? I know i can use the four of them but i m very novice on the system and I have the feeling I m not using all there potential.

Do I use the shield automaticly?

The air camera for the combat is only available in the PC version?

Any tips on how to approach combat as a human soldier?

How often shall I use the wheel in combat, and how can I use it best?

I think thats all for now, thanks for reading.

Best regards, Zubi Fett.

There is a pretty good compilation page for various guides here.

Do yourself a big favor and take some time to get acquainted with the tactics system. There is an introduction here.

The isometric camera is for PC only.

Shield is used for defense automatically if you have one equipped. Offensive talents have to be activated (either manually or via tactics).

I have heard that having over 100 in an ability does not give a higher bonus? Is this true? Does gear count towards the bonus limit?

The only ability with a cap is haste for archers, your firing rate can never be faster than... I believe it's 1 second, can't remember the exact numbers right now. Other than that, by all means stack and stack some more :D

Bows have aim time. Certain items (typically bows) reduce aim time and some abilities (like Aim) increase it. The absolute minimum you can have is 0 aim time. This cap is very easy to reach (I believe you just need one item with "Rapid Aim") and thus the talent Rapid Aim (not to be confused with the awesome Rapid Aim on items) is actually harmful in most cases and should be avoided like the plague. In fact, you can have Aim on and still have 0 aim time if you have a specific pair of gloves from Return to Ostagar.

As for ability scores, there are no caps. However, indirectly there are limits to their usefulness in at least one case: Defense can outscale enemy attack rates and thus more dex won't actually make you harder to hit after a certain point.
