Biggest problem is slow frame rate. Also in the beginning, loot on corpses appear as soon as you sheath your weapons, but halfway into the game (if not earlier), you have to walk away from the corpses and return to see the loot on the bodies. Slow.

I've seen that problem as well and it can get a little annoying at times to wait a minute for the loot to appear on the bodies.

I doubt I know enough of the "symptoms" of low framerates to recognize the problem when it shows up, but the biggest thing I'm waiting for is definitely a dexfix so I can actually use archers the way they were meant to be used, and maybe a buff or fix for the Shapeshifter specialization.  The next DLC can wait forever as far as I'm concerned.

From what I've seen so far, Orzammar especially tends to set it off (but I've had this go off at Warden's Keep as well). I've found that quitting/restarting generally improves on this issue, making me wonder if it might be related to the so-called 'memory leak' issue on the PC side (which hasn't been confirmed to be a memory leak, but people always jump to conclusions...)

Better late than never, is what I usually say about patches... Give it time and remember: this could mean that they are putting even more work into adjusting the flaws(unbalanced combat at some stages In my ****ing honest opinion :P).

I hope that with all this time, they will add some "we are sorry" goodies into the patch. Rather doubtful....but hey we can always have a fantasy! Though my cynical self is thinking the whole patch is a fantasy...

ummm bioware was a canadian company which was bought out by an american company (electronic arts) and that is when bioware went down hill so as i see it another fine example of a canadian company being dragged down by an american power house company, EA even bought a 20% portion of ubisoft which im sure if they where able would have bough 51% and dragged the company down to a substandard point in quality just like they did to bioware

I have both the PS3 and PC versions of the game and the addons that are available to the PC version should be made available to the PS3 (xbox) versions. The BIOWARE servers do not update my characters progress the pictures do not get uploaded, the thumbnails do not display an enlarged image. The social (bragging) end here is not being handled. I can live with having to pay someone to convert the PC addon to PS3. It is noticable that there does not seem to be enough monies in the game unless STEALING is really needed to supplement the purse. And the sell / buy difference is unbalanced. Is that intentional or a bug?

This is probably why the patch is taking so long...many versions of PS3. many options for output on both graphic and sound. But I'm still not playing until the patch hits.

Hmmmm, the versions of PS3 hardware released has no bearing on programming for a game at all.  The older models with different HDD sizes and the newer slim models all function the same way, that is the nature of consoles and the differentiating factor between Console and PC.

DLC makes EA money, patches don't. It's as simple as that.

We really ought to have a pool going on whether the Dragon Age: Awakening "Expansion" or patch gets out first.

My money's on the so called "Expansion", which sounds more like a mini version of the game. Considering I got the PS3 DA:O at a discount on black friday and paid less than $50 for it, the new DLC essentially means I'm paying more money for less content.

I must be the only one not having the "game breaking" issues. I've been through every origin story and am near the end of my third full runthrough, not once have i encountered problems on the scale as some of you guys on this board have had. Sure, I've had to wait while loot is dropped, I just move my pc away and go make a coffee or roll a cigarette, go back, and it's there. I've not really had that much slowdown on screen, or graphic glitches.

My only gripe would be is the copy protection on the save files.

I thoroughly love this game, my personal GOTY

I am not at all disappointed with the framerate. It shows up pretty smooth on my system. Don't know what you players are complainting about. It is just silly.

Well thats great for you. You are very lucky and I'm glad your game  is working well for you. However calling people silly becuase they are experiencing problems that you are not (as I am one of them) is pretty ignorent.

To me, the issue you just described is pretty "game breaking", as I don't prefer going away from the game while I wait for it to load things that are supposed to be done on the fly. If you have the patience for that, great. Personally, I don't, and I'm well aware that is not "working as intended", which makes it doubly frustrating. For me, $60 is a bit of money to spend on a luxury item, so I dropped the money on this one based on my experience with other Bioware games, KOTOR and KOTOR 2 in particular. I'm very disappointed in the game quality in terms of programming - storywise the game is top-notch, and you can tell a metric ton of work went into the backstory, the conversations, and the character development. However, the programming just isn't there. Still a fan of the game, like I said, just disappointed that they released it with all the problems plaguing it, and even more disappointed that there's very little support even among other gamers for those of us having trouble with the game. I've voiced my concerns only to be called "whiny", "silly", and a host of other names by people not having the bugs and problems, which is disheartening, because you would think people who spent just as much money as I did on the game would want the bugs fixed just as badly in the even that they DID start showing up on their system.

And what other Bioware PS3 games do you feel people need to stay away from? I mean they have such an expansive list out right? Seriously, Bioware is, or at the very least was, THE leading RPG maker in the world. There wasn't a company who could come close to the level of quality infused into their games. For me, I look at this Hiccup as EA's doing. EA has a wonderfully nasty habit of destroying companies they consume, and I know I personally was more than a little miffed when they took over.

To me, this little mess looks more like EA staggered through the doors, and in their infinite wisdom, took a look at what was on the docket, and said "get it out the door now", as they are want to do with all of their own games. Bioware has always been about the quality of content delivered, where EA pinches pennies left right and centre. EA has deadlines, often rediculous in the setting, and if the game isn't done, it's tough, the players can deal with the issues.

All that aside, more than a few games and shows are animated/ filmed here in Canada, or have Canadian animators on the job either outsourced, or brought down to the states. Being one who has worked both, I'd choose your words a little more carefully in the future, before trying to belittle an entire countries industry, especially on one Canadian companies forum.

Yeah I'm on PC but if you people paid attention to Bioware employees, then you'd know it's coming out with the DLC, yes it has been delayed but they can't do anything about it.

To make it clearer, you do NOT need to purchase the DLC to get the patch, the same day the DLC is available the patch will be too.

Lol, if that's the excuse Bioware is hiding behind, Bioware shouldn't be making games.

They released patches for the PC. The PC has thousands of totally different set-ups that people will be using.
