This is BSN. Stop posting reasonable thoughts and words and what-not here. We don't take kindly to "logic" 'round these here parts.

*addendum* ~please read this post in the most hillbilly redneck accent your brain can muster~
*addendumII* ~except these here addendums
*addendumIII* ~ ok, seriously, stop reading in a hillbilly accent or your brain may get stuck like that

Funny, my friends says that to me all the time, in the exact same way.

They don't like friendly fire from other players mistaking them for enemies or they don't want to confuse they allies :P

And this is a good trend - can't tell you how many time's I've shot a player who looked like geth ...

Wouldn't you rather attack a brute from behind in melee with a purple geth than any other colour?

edit: grammar fail pointed out by meme...

I chose normal Geth colours because I thought it seemed realistic.. only to find my teammates shoot at me when they see me coming around a corner.

I guess other colours help them not waste ammo.

Although the best colour is red. Especially for Vanguards. Everyone knows red makes you go faster.

Most people find getting credits more amusing than trolling squadmates by wearing enemy Geth colors, thus they choose non-Gethy colors to minimize friendly fire, that wastes thermal clips and power cooldowns.

I try to make my geth look exactly like the enemy, patterns and everything, just for friendly fire. I laugh to myself every time someone mistake me for the geth we're fighting.

My GI is purple and green. Joker style. Of course, I am colorblind., so there's a possibility it might be blue and green.

I did not realize it looked purple, I was going for pink on my Geth Infintrator. But people tell me it looks purple. Anyway its so that you won't mistake me for the real geth. I have the same problem with teammates who have their color as red. GI hunter vision shows enemy in red so I have shot red teammates many times, lol.

Fans of Saint's Row?

I am very fond of my geths camos, severe tones of black in one and a fashionable mix of oranges and yellowish camo in my infiltrator.

My Geth Infiltrator build is currently completely blue. Dark Blue. But I wondered if it wouldn't still be too confusing playing as a Geth Infiltrator during a mission against the Geth. Especially considering I now use the Widow a lot, so I spend -a lot- of the time cloaked, which would make it harder for teammates to tell me apart.

But no matter which class I play, I mostly pick either Blue or Red as colors for my characters, as they stand out. I hate turning around and seeing a silver and/or black human anything, as I often confuse them with Cerberus troops, which I mostly play against. I have fired at teammates due to such confusion at times.

I change the appearance of my Geth on a pretty frequent basis, but here are pics of my two Geth characters as they are now. Neither of them is purple lol. Sorry if the quality is poor. Had to take the pics w/ my phone of the TV screen.

My Geth are all enemy colors.

Geth Engineer is light metallic blue with white stripes and cyan lights.

When I feel like trolling I turn off Hunter Mode and swap to the Geth Pulse Rifle I always carry... go beyond nametag range and fire off a few shots at my teammates.

It is funny how long they shoot at you before they realize you are just messing with them! :D

When I feel like pub stomping some Silver I make him Bright Neon Green with all green everything. Just so when you see that green streak run past and kill all the enemies when you are down then come to revive you, you know it was me.

I try to make ALL of my characters bright colors. Makes it easier to keep track of Allies if they aren't fading into the background, or looking the same as the Enemies. Less Friendly fire and an easier time for people to see where I am (if they need to make sure who to shoot when they turn a corner, or if they need to find me to revive me :D).

Also switched to using the same "color palate" across all my characters. That way way I keep the same "outfit/uniform" no matter which race/class I play. Lately its been Purple-ish Cammo (liked the way it looked on my QI when I started the trend). Maybe others are trying to pick colors that look good across all the classes and find that Purple works well?

Thread makes me think of shadow broker notes in Liara's cabin:

"Next time, you want to warn me that the geth are our friends and that maybe we're not supposed to shoot the big robots? I almost pissed myself when these primes started dropping out of the sky and mopping up the Reapers. We fired a few rounds at them until we realized they weren't firing back. Then this one comes over, said they're "allied assistance" and asks for our status. I'm not complaining they saved my crew, but I'm never living down having to apologize to a geth for shooting one of its damn lights off. "
