I used to get the infinite loop of checking for dlc. It went away for a few weeks and now its back again. Has this happened to anyone else?

For some it hasn't stopped happening.
For me, I found a work around (getting the Auto-Login set to on before downloading the patch) and haven't had issues since.

just disconnect your xbox from the interent before turnign it on, load up the game, let it go through it's steps, then at the amin menu reconnect and tadaa your able to do everytign without a problem. Until they fix the face import patch glitch thats been causing this issue especially with makign the agme unplayable unless you do that process thats really your easiest way of dealign wiht the issue.

Same here lol.
Poor ME3, so many tech bugs compared to ME1&2! At least you weren't hit by the BLACK SCREEN in March like me.
