I would assume that is why he was there before.
Those are the most........disgruntled players.
I don't envy him.
I'm a member there and I'm not disgruntled at all. I just want my reunion scene with Miranda! Shepard made a promise lol.
Don't you think he should ask it in a poll here as well?

No.
Do I believe that it's a get out of jail free card Bioware should grab with both hands, thank us all for the second chance, and use to create an ending that isn't awful unavoidable bleakmiserable that destroys everything we care about in the name of shoddy art and speculations?
You bet my sweet British behind I do.
I'd rather watch Casey Hudson replace the ending with him flipping everyone off as an ending. Don't substitute poor writing with more poor writing.

Oh wait, it's to see if the retarded retake movement is a bunch of clueless people who didn't follow the Mass Effect lore and canon.

If they give me Miranda I won't have any more complaints.
There I go.
That's all I really want deep down.
Hapiness for Shepard.

I have to agree. IT isn't clever, it's just convenient.Siansonea II wrote...
IT is a copout, and a cheat, and an asspull, if that's the direction they decide to go. I'd rather have a complete retcon than IT. After all, at least retcons are an established precedent.

Chris asked if people believed IT was true, Yes or No...yet within 3 posts people were voting "Yes" because they thought it was "Plausible" or a "Possibility", which is not the same as believing it is true.

Would seem that the vote is fairly even. Some think the IT theory is true, others think it was just ****** poor writing.
No, it's like 2 to 1 I.T. right now.

Therefore do Bioware deserve any credit at all for releasing an extended cut - which is purely a damage limitation exercise?

Despite the poll being mind numbingly simple, the people on the forum still managed to **** it up.

Most sensible people would want it to be true if it gets us out of the endings we have.

As I said, the inclusion of IT in the EC is far, far beyond the realms of possibility. Paredonia's the only thing that keep fans believing that IT is real.

But isn't it too late for Bioware to decide about IT now?
My guess is, they again will give us a vague ending to power up the giant spaculation machina.

I fail to see what that has to do with this thread.dorktainian wrote...

IT is a back door entry, but if it puts the game back on track I'm all for it. It won't be the first story to write itself into a corner by mistake or otherwise and need a way back.
I'll take the back door entry t.... wait a minute..
I mean I'll take IT. Hell yeah. Retcon without a retcon.

I'd rather Bioware get to save face by not having to remove what they already wrote, since their pride seems to be very important to them, then get a proper ending in keeping with the best writing this team is capable of producing, and that won't make
Me hate the game series I used to love above all others.
I honestly don't like the idea of IT. I don't want Bioware to claim it was what they intended all along, but I'm practice enough to realise its the easiest, and frankly only realistic way we'll be able to get a proper ending for this series. Just improving what is already there will just be polishing a turd, and that's sadly the only other option.
So stuck with this current rock and hard place, I'd rather get the IT.

Because it is. The EC is already in production, there is no point in asking for intput anymore.zovoes wrote...
why do i feel this is only asking how much lip service they have to pay and not really asking for input?

Poo storm of a thread would be the result, methinks.
This, in a nutshell. I could see if only one thread on here ended up with a Bioware employee aborting contributing on a thread due to post backlash, but it's happened multiple times to multiple employees.
The few HTL posts I've read seem to indicate a higher degree of civility for the controversial topics like the ending. (Small sample size may be inadequate).

I think they're likely far-enough outside of recording all the dialogue to see this as pretty accurate.
Though, it's worth considering that they might have had the voice actors record lines that support, debunk, allude to, and flat-out ignore the presence of indoctrination.
Still, there's something awfully forward about him asking that.

Agreed. I'd rather that they ask who we'd like to see more of from the ME2 squad
