*shrug* <-- how they should reply to that. Zealotry generally won't get you anywhere. I hate the endings with the rage and fury of a billion burning suns myself, but that kind of thing is just... not how you affect any kind of change. You simply take your money elsewhere.

isn't that basically what they were saying though? if there aren't new endings then they will take their money elsewhere, it would be hard to affect change on the EC after it comes out so they warn of voting with their wallets before they do it.

Yes, but it's all in how you say it that matters. "You can catch more flies with honey than vinegar." Raging at them won't coerce them into compromising for your sake. It'll only make them not want to change anything and call people "entitled".

Simply liking something doesn't mean it wasn't rushed.

Also before you use the gem " not liking it doesn't mean it's rushed" you're absolutely correct, however the sudden plunge in quality does.

I fail to see how stating one will not purchase BW products in the future is in any way a THREAT.

Seems more of a statement of personal intent to which a company who sold over 3 million ME3 copies can say, "So?"

It's like losing a skin cell for them....they won't even notice.

If we 'wait and see' on the EC and it doesn't address the issues people have, then what?

Do people really think EA will be willing to provide bioware with funding for another chance at ending DLC? hell no, they'll move on to paid for DLC instead.

The guy(s) that gave the ultimatum are afraid that extended ending won't be able to fix the ending adequately and by the time they get to see EC it will be too late to have input. EC is going to be make or break for a lot of people after the recent disappointments from bioware. These people don't want to threaten bioware but to let them know the consequences or their choices.

It's not going to change anything. EC is a compromise. More than most companies offer, in fact. I have yet to see Lionhead Studios deliver on ANY promise. Or deliver a satisfying ending. Ever. Or the now defunct company that made the Gothic IV....want a dreadful ending, a full game filled with plot holes, NO choices, a horrid combat system etc. Play that. Then you'll see what plot holes, no choices and dreadful endings actually are.

Bethesda and CDProjeckt did it and the later is a much smaller company than bioware

The plain and simple fact is the only true way to show discontent in a product is just as you said... when the next line of products come out whether it be DLC or entirely new games with the Bioware mark... players that are that furious over ME3 should simply stick to their guns and stay away from anything labeled Bioware.

Will it put them out of business... heck no! But even if they lost 1,000 consumers to just one major title at $60. In the grand scheme of things it may not look like much compared to the millions they still would earn... but it's still $60,000 they didn't earn. And a statement never the less.

Overall the game for me was fine. I enjoyed it. The part that was subpar was the ending because it showed a major shift in the quality of the writing. For 3 series it was building up to something that at the end simply tried to convince you was no longer the case and just handed you an ending without any end effort (as in a final boss) that should have dwarfed the final scenes of the first two games.

If EC doesn't match up to what you expect... complaining further isn't going to earn you extra changes. Simply stick to your guns and quite simply... stop buying Bioware products. Half who say that's what they'll do are likely to double back on that threat and buy the stuff anyway. I'll wait and and see what EC holds, and look to reviews by players on any DLC.

I still like Bioware products... even if my faith in them has been lessened after two misstepped titles. If anything... a lesson for me will be to wait a little longer after release and read player reviews to see if the next best thing lives up to what they say it should.

Bethseda did it as a paid DLC.

CDProject isn't much smaller, it's owned by a HUGE company AND it has GOG for financial backing. Not comparable AT ALL.

CDProjeckt also took over a year to deliver a new ending. If the game wasn't being ported to the 360 I don't even think they would have invested as much into the newest release. They also own GOG.which is basically a revenue machine that allows them to work on other projects.

i can tell already alot ( not all) have basicly stated they wont accept the ec and imo thats fine but threatning isnt the way to get what they want

Neither is kissing their gilded behinds and telling them that they're doing a good job when they clearly aren't.

So you're saying EA are poor or don't care about the customers of Bioware.

Here is why I wouldn't do that, even if I hated all of ME3:

I will not ban myself from enjoying a game simply because another one did not deliver. Had I done this....I wouldn't buy any games anymore. Bioware has disappointed me the least out of all the dev studios I know. Takes a lot to get me to swear off a dev studio I once loved. Took Bethseda 4 games to kill my love. (Skyrim was the death blow)

No. This has nothing to do with EA, actually. As I said before, EC is a compromise. FREE as well. From Bioware and EA, that's a MAJOR olive branch at this point.

Take what you can get, crying for the moon helps no one, sorry.

I am part of HTL but I am giving the extended cut a chance. If I don't like it bioware will not be my favorite game maker and I simply won't pre-order anymore. But if they make a good game I will play it.

I only want a logical and complete end. I personally hope for IT but if they do something else we will see.

HTL issued a statment saying the "threat" was from someone writing in from the letter tsunami campaign and that it DID NOT represent official HTL policy. HTL also apologized to Mr Priestly.

So it wasn't 65k and even if it were......that's 2.2% of sales to date(approx). You think they would be hurting by "only" selling 2.93 million?

They had already done it with 1 before they released 2, and 1 wasn't ported. Also Origin? EA threw 300mil at TOR and sold 3mil+ copies of ME3. If Bioware said EC would take a year to deliver I'd wager people would still give it a chance. It would actually give me confidence that it won't be rushed.

A port for 1 was in the works actually. It was abandoned.

We don't know how much dev time EC will get. Anything between 2/3 and 5/6 months. Summer lasts till September. And when Bioware announces a summer release, we're lucky to get it from Santa.

It was going to BE ported. "Rise Of The White Wolf", none of you Witcher fans remember the abandoned port? They had a bloody TRAILER out, for God's sake!

And TW1 was UNPLAYABLE after its release and NEEDED the EE.

Exactly... I myself won't write them off. Of all the developers... only DA2 and ME3 have drawn some disappointments. The first in their recycling of environments as the main cause. The latter through the lack of what they stated it would and wouldn't be.

I still like the game as a whole and have played it several times through.

Just saying that those that are threatening to not buy anymore Bioware titles... go ahead and freaking do it. Sure... they'll miss out on earning a little bit more money from a game sale. Just don't be a hypocrite and threaten to quit buying their product when half of them know full well they'll keep buying the titles.

Ever since stumbling upon ME1 and seeing the Bioware name on it, the past experiences from NWN, and the original KotoR told me it had to be a good title. I've instinctively bought their games since without a second thought knowing it should be good, especially when compared to other developer titles I've come across.

I myself am still going to continue purchasing Bioware products. They'd have to do FAR worse before they lose my business. It impresses me more that their at least trying to make concessions with the product they put out. I may not like how it ended, but I can accept that and I'll appreciate any additional explanations and story they offer to fill in the gaps and the many unknowns.

Recycled textures,characters, maps?

Vosque is Thane's doctor? nearly every NPC is copy paste, but I can tell this is pointless, you can't see past the nice colors.
