Not the best angle of default Femshep but I see where you're coming from. PC players are a little luckier as some people have modified default Femshep's face model to be closer to the contest image and less...strange, as it were.

I honestly don't see why they didn't just scan in a face model or upgrade the original Jane (who looks several orders of magnitude more appropriate) instead of setting up that well-intentioned but horribly ill-conceived beauty contest. Modelling the face from scratch clearly went terribly off somewhere. Ah, well.

I deeply doubt her design is commentary of any sort (intentional, anyway). BioWare just followed their doctrine of Needed to Be Sexy and ended up crashing and burning in the smouldering wreckage of the other casualties of the dreaded Sex Appeal.

No clue, especially when they weren't planning to use a living face map (despite the fact that minor and even optional characters have one). The entire voting contest just was chock-a-block with unfortunate implications from inception all the way up to its end.thesnake777 wrote...
