I am a disappointed that NWN Nexus does not have seperate areas for NWN1 and NWN2.  This is further aggrivated by people not indicating which NWN their submission is for.

Please, when submitting to NWN Nexus, indicate clearly, preferably in the title, which version of NWN, and which level compatibility,  your submission is for.

That is all, carry on.

It does have categories.

Click Files -> Categories.

Neverwinter 2 appears first, followed by Neverwinter Nights.

The site doesn't seem to be up to much. It's a real shame, since the design is really nice - it just doesn't have the content as it stands. NWN Vault is still pretty strong, though.

Nexus, as a 'library' is a little hard to use, imo. Without ample subcategories, as it starts to get populated with content, it will become even harder to find things. The Vault can be challenging but offers many ways to limit returns. Hopefully, Nexus will introduce subcategories for various NWN assets to help searches.

As I recall, Nexus started out catering to games that didn't have many levels of customization, so there were only a couple of file types (overrides and maps, for instance), that were being stored there.

The Nexus started out catering mainly to TES games, which have lots of categories, but not directly comparable to NWN. Basically, whatever you install for the other games would be somewhere in a NWN "overrides" subcategory.
The NWN Nexus site was made mainly on the initiative of players from here who did not have the impression anymore that the Vault is "still pretty strong", quite the opposite, if it hadn't been for various Vault problems lately the Nexus site wouldn't have been necessary.
Anyway, the Nexus sites depend on user input and I really hope that it'll get more use, because at this point it's probably the better solution for players and builders. I'm a bit disappointed that not more people re-uploaded their stuff there. It's not meant to be a competition or replacement to the vault, mainly a backup solution and alternative in case the vault problems continue.

Yes, the Nexus needs to revamp its tagging system. At present its tags are useless. If the tags could be user generated without limitations, it would be much more valuable.

Tags were discussed by users, actually. I don't see what makes the current one "useless": http://social.biowar...7/index/9698802

Agreed with all Casadechrisso wrote, the Vault may bring many memories and all that, but praising its search system? Please... The Nexus is way more user-friendly, and, well, it doesn't have a broken login and email system, etc.

I'm also pretty disappointed that the Nexus doesn't get more uploads. As it's been stated, this is not as competition or intended as a replacement. I'm just a player and I have nothing to upload, but otherwise, I would see no problem in uploading my content to both sites.
