I have 3 questions/problems:
1: I tried modding the shapechange file to make the shapeshifting forms more effective.
I mainly changed things like damage and armor.
Problem is though, the changes don't show up in game. I put the modified file in pretty much every override folder I could find, but to no avail. (Tried most override folder individually as well)
I did convert the file to a .gda with the excelprocessor.exe program.
The damage morrigan did as a spider (normal, not corrupted) was 11, and my character had something like 14 damage, even though I had changed the base damage value in the shapechange file to 25. I'm fairly sure strength is used to calculate dmg, as the pc char had a little more strength. (14 vs 17)
2: is there a way to make spellpower the main value for damage calculation instead of strength?
3: And last but not least, does anyone know if Bioware is working on this, or even thinking about beefing up the damage done by the shapeshifting forms? I think the damage the shapeshifting form does is also a form of its 'power' , and should therefore be calculated out of spellpower, not from strength.

Craig, while you guys are looking at it. There's mistake in shapeshift code (missing break statement) which causes it to calculate the bonus damage for the forms using the base + per level values intended for armour piercing attribute. This causes the damage scale up at roughly half of the intended rate or less.
There seems to be couple others subtle errors in there at well... it's discussed in more detail in this thread: http://social.biowar.../8/index/428999

As far as I know, spellpower /is/ the damage calculator in shapeshifting forms; I could be wrong though. Why would you be a mage shapeshifter if you needed high strength to do high damage? It seems counterproductive no?
I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading it somewhere...

I think the question is not whether it's supposed to be, but whether due to a glitch in the game it's NOT.

Nice, bioware guys are actually reading what people type here. I'll just wait for a patch then.
Maker watch over you all.

I said it was being looked at - not that *I* was looking at it.
I only even know that it was being looked at because I saw someone (Georg I believe) mentioning it on another thread.

While BioWare is looking at it, any chance we can get the Fade Spirit form for Morrigan?
