I was playing some multiplayer matches today and I hosted several as well as playing in some that have been hosted. In one of these hosted matches I wind up in a group at wave 2 against Geth in Firebase Glacier. We were on Silver and we kept being SWARMED by Geth and I mean swarmed. So much so that we got 3 kill streaks and 3 of us were over 90k points (one of these three was over 100k). I never saw that happen on Silver.

At some point, on the extraction wave, I literally turn around and the room was packed with Geth hunters. It felt like I was in a room with full of Agent Smiths (hence the name of the thread.)

With the same host we then go to Palaven against Reaper. We get waves and waves and waves of Husks. I also got a weird bug with my Hornet where my ammo was going negative, then suddenly recharged itself.

This was after the Origin update but for a few matches before these twoo (and after the update) I didn't notice anything weird like that. While the increase of mobs might be some patch maybe, the negative ammo is weird so I decided to post here.

Another thing I should add we didn't just get a ton of enemies, they also were a lot weaker. Shielded enemies were dying with 1 nova. Brutes were dying off 2 or 3 OVERLOAD hits and so on.

Not a bug - the host used a modified game-file (there are several "mods" out there that do this, one of them is a Zombie mod). Which is pretty much bannable. I hope you didn't get more than normal credits for the games, otherwise I'd contact Bioware. Here is how.

I see, thanks. I was wondering that. I indeed stopped playing with that host when I started to feel something was amiss and that's why I came here. I shall make the appropriate reports.

Yes, the host was definitely cheating. I've been in games like these and the best thing to do is to leave the game immediately because it can get you banned, even if you are not the cheater. BioWare detects cheating patterns to determine whether someone should be banned. If you play with the same cheating host more than once, you could get in trouble.
