It is actually omni-gel, they just melted down all those old guns from ME1 you never used... and the mako.

That's funny, because in KOTOR you could only heal "organic" members with the force (for those who didn't play KOTOR, it worked ingame exactly like medigel). For droids like Hk-47 and T3M4 you had to use separate repair kits. So it's a step backward for BioWare.

I'm glad repair kits aren't in ME I don't think having to pick a repair kit over a medigel button etc.. is fun I'd rather have one do both.

Wow, that is terrible. The gameplay needs to conform to the lore. Or at least try.

Might as well ask why you still talk to EDI via comm when she's standing right next to you....

Doesn't that happen when you're on missions where there's no atmosphere?

If so, that's just Bioware paying attention to detail. Sound doesn't travel through a vacuum. However, since EDI doesn't need to breath, her physical body's not wearing a suit - or any kind of a communicator.

Possibly, but I'm pretty sure I have also noticed this happen while in the shuttle.

Eh, I don't think it's a step backward.

I'd rather be able to heal my squadmates with one button, as opposed to two. And I'd rather have to keep track of only my medi-gel supply, as opposed to medi-gel and omni-gel (or repair kit, or whatever we'd use on synthetics).

The game mechanics aren't always going to make complete sense, storywise. Sometimes simpler is better. Just saying.

Two things.

A.     lol

B.     Funny you should mention this: a questionable, possibly lore-breaking concept, implemented by the creator of an iconic sci-fi franchise, that many feel ruined, or at least seriously detracted from, said franchise....

B. does not refer to medigel.

Gameplay reasons, obviously. It worked on Legion in ME2 as well.

Gee, healing in a video game isn't completely realistic.

That has never, ever, been done before.

Well, I guess...your omni tool can automatically recognize the ones need help and decide to either apply medi-gel or repair kit.

They should.

Or rather, the story should always make complete sense, mechanicswise.

You're not very fond of appealing game design if you believe that.

The better question is, why did they even bother making her a squadmate?
