Stargazer scene actually not part of the story, but a message directly to the players?

Good job OP....
Thanks. Glad some of you out there are interested in my take and maybe even agree with it.
To the rest of you that insist on instead casting aspersions on those of us who are enjoying the speculation and looking forward to what is coming next, I repost what I said on page 1:

lol, some of you guys are really funny. Someone could write a PhD dissertation on the psychology of it taking more than 2 and a half months to get over what you perceive to be a letdown over a videogame, and still being on the forums complaining about it despite having no belief in something good coming of it.
I'm here because I believe something better is coming. Not sure why you guys are here to be honest. To bump my topic, apparently? Thanks.

Seconded. And I beleive a quote is rather apropos here...
“Remember, you cannot be both young and wise. Young people who pretend to be wise to the ways of the world are mostly just cynics. Cynicism masquerades as wisdom, but it is the farthest thing from it. Because cynics don’t learn anything. Because cynicism is a self-imposed blindness, a rejection of the world because we are afraid it will hurt us or disappoint us. Cynics always say no. But saying “yes” begins things. Saying “yes” is how things grow. Saying “yes” leads to knowledge. “Yes” is for young people. So for as long as you have the strength to, say “yes'.”

Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team's artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.
What is BioWare adding to the ending with the Extended Cut DLC?
BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3.

There needs to be a wishful thinking section to the forums.
I understand that you want to be cordoned off from the rest of the people, but if your fantasies can't handle flashes of reality, stay away from us optimistic folks.
See how annoying and obnoxious that is when it's turned back on ya?

Bioware has already commented on the endings officially and with finality via their press release RE: Extended Edition. All is as is. There is no hidden message.

This will be stated again and again. With IT they don't need to change a thing, since that was always the intention. That is what the theory hinges on, it only requires further clarification to let people "get it"
Those scenes are phrased as being intentionally vague and yes, Bioware has made statements that there may be gameplay in the EC. They never defined what the meant by "epilogue scenes"

I'm really liking this interpretation. But if someone can clear this up, I thought the "Stargazer" scene played after the credits regardless of import or NG+ or default game, and the Breath bonus scene needed an import/NG+ on top of the other requirements.
No, Stargazer scene will NOT play if you play a non-import Shep for your first playthrough. However, if youve already beaten the game at least once, then the Stargazer scene will play for all subsequent playthroughs regardless of import/non-import.

No offense OP but this is taking "grasping at the induction ports" to a whole new level.

It really does. I'm fairly certain most of the people insulting it are not even reading the OP.
I mean come on, the scene uses a backdrop from a metal album, uses a miniature adult character (could very well be Shepard) for the child, and is exactly the same regardless of the ending you choose.
Dont care if you believe in fate, convergence, or even the butterfly effect, there is no way that scene would play out exactly the same if those three endings actually happened.
Unless people come up with legitimately logical criticism or counterpoints, I'm just dismissing all the naysayers as trolls.

You are mistaken. My first playthrough of ME3 was the default game and I got the Stargazer scene at the end. Nice thread you got here by the way. I support!

This OP, just this.
Why can't people believe that Bioware would make a colossal screw up? They're human. They made a mistake. It happens.
