The "more banshee" thing is a good idea. It's seems like this weekend is not just about "kill something X times". It has a "history" now: failed previous operation changed the war.

Here's a thought: Do you think if we had failed Goliath or Exorcist this same thing would have happened? Now I kinda wished we did fail them to add a new flair to the weekends...

Perhaps I have missed something, it would seem this is going to apply to Bronze/Silver/Gold games, is that correct? It also doesn't say which map or enemy, I understand Banshee's will/may appear regardless of the enemy, which should prove interesting:)

There is no "edge" one can have over another in a Co-Op game where everyone gets the same XP at the end.
The reason one is given is because they are meant to be community event rewards.

To all those saying it isn't really a 'squad' goal:
Technically when you promote your characters they are referred to as an "N7 Spec Ops Team" so promoting your own characters could be considered a squad action, just not the squads we are used to it referring to.

You seem to be under the impression that everyone sees the multiplayer as a purely co-op endeavor. I've met a few who will rage at not being top of the leader bord.
