Well technically you cannot promote characters alone. You always promote classes regardless the number of character unlocked.

I promoted my 3. Now off to get them back to 20.

just go into a lobby with friends then you only have to promote 1 i am going to do it. i am gonna promote one class and my friends will promote 1 as well and the squad goal will be complete for us and we don't have too lose all our classes then

Im not sure it works like that, but they really did not specify. If it does, then more power to you for "beating hte system". I had all 6 ready to go, i was just waiting for an incentive to promote. I've read through alot of the forums since my last promotions so im looking forward to trying some new builds.

That won't work but hey, best of luck.  If you read more of this thread, you would see that each individual player is required to promote three of their classes.  It isn't a literal "squad goal/activity"; it's an individual goal.  Devs have commented on this.  Mass Effect's Twitter was incorrect, there's a thread about it here.

Everything is going ok at my end. The only thing I didn't like is that it resetted my colors.on the characters .

I want the colors on my GI reset, since the unique look on the secondary isn't able to be replicated once its changed. WELL, time to promote.

Huh?  Of course you can recreate any color setup you made.  Just...pick the same colors?

I think it would be handy to ask to reset the colors it would make it more convenent to those who are particular of the colors they have picked for there characters.

LOL... oh come on. not that hard, isn't it really?
It won't be the last event where promotion is going to be required, rest assured.
They can see how high the "average" level is and how many  promotions are made.
If people are getting reluctant they can throw in a promotion weekend again.

no biggie really.
it is maybe neat to try not to die until level 15 for example;)

Really, is this such a big deal? I promoted all my classes this morning and with some rounds and 6 SPS all of them are back at lvl 15 or higher already.

Or do you just want to keep your N7 rank artificially low to get kicked from gold games?

So, I hadn't played ME multiplayer in about a month, but when I came back (on my PS3) I had 2 commendation packs for Operation Goliath and Raptor... So that was a nice surprise.

Another great surprise is a banshee crashing they party in my cerberus games. Although I guess it wasn't a surprise since I was only playing because I heard they would be mixing it up this weekend. I have been waiting for them to mix up the enemies for a little while now. (Maybe we should fail more events?? lol)

So, at this point, it's safe to say if I promote 3 classes I will have them count towards the goal, correct?

Just did my three promotions. Hoping for a Crusader. I know it's not that great of a weapon, but I wanna play around with it anyway.
