Hasn't started yet. You should get a splash screen once you begin multiplayer and it is active. And you only have to promote 3 characters, not classes.

Are you dumb? Promotions only apply to the ENTIRE class. therefore all five spec'd characters in a class still only count as ONE promotion


Not dumb. I understand promotions apply to the entire class. But it does't necessarily follow that clicking promote 3 times is required. According to Chris at bioware:

@BioEvilChris I can't get on BSN right now so just to be sure. If I have 4 deployed soldiers and promote the 1 class that counts as 4 chars?

This sounds MUCH better to me. As long it's a combonation of 3 it will work.

I want to double check on this, I have one character in a class close to level twenty which means if I commission two more characters in that same class then promote them I'll be ok.



don't listen to clopy, he's mistaken. You have to promote three classes. This is exactly the same as the second weekend challenge (operation raptor, I believe) except it was two instead of three. Regardless, people made the exact same mistake then, too.

Nah - that's not how it works.  If it was, each time I promoted a class I'd get a 100 N7 bump instead of a 20 bump.  There are 5 characters in each class, and you can develop all 5 with their own specific looks, powers and weapons, but when you promote it's the class that is promoted, not the individual characters. 

As an example, I have (right now) all 6 classes at level 20 ready to go for the start of the weekend op.  But when I promote them, I expect to get a bump in my N7 # by 120, not by 600.

My game glitched and I saw the announcement screen of this challenge and almost promoted my characters, but then I decided to check the blog and discovered that it's too early.

I doubt that it's too early. I've had banshees appear in the last three non-Reaper games I've played.

Same here. I already promoted 3 classes because I assumed the event had already started when the announcement screen came up. Hope I wasn't wrong about that... :mellow:

Same. I was playing a Cerberus game and two banshees spawned. And when I was playing a reaper game, more than TEN banshees showed up. That's why I decided to promote my characters.

It is fine to PM moderators when you have a concern about site rules violations. The term "re:" is a short way of saying "in reference to". It's business jargon, that's all.

Im on both pc and ps3, promoted all classes that were at lvl 20, promoted 11 times. The rest is up to you guys.
