Wait ... people are mad and irritated at Bioware because they themselves couldn't be bothered to read the notice on when the event began and ended? The notice that's clearly posted since May 23rd on the blog that takes less than 2 seconds to get to with no hoops to jump through in order to read it .. that blog?

Wow.

No, I'm mad about constantly having to put up with Banshees. Fighting Atlases and Banshees at the same time. That's just what I wanted to do. Yeah...

I wonder what the thought process at Bioware was. "I know! Let's punish the players because they weren't able to kill enough of these overpowered enemies. Let's put even more of them into multiplayer! That'll teach them to fail in our game!"

I think the addition of the banshees was interesting. Yes the last event 'failed', this was the consequence. I mean, personally I think that's pretty cool. My partner and I loved hearing their screams while we were trying to deal with atlases or primes. Made things feel more urgent.

I dunno, to each their own.  I am looking forward to them being banished back to their own minions though.

Interesting.  I loved it.  That moment you're sitting there and everything is normal and you know just how to take down that group of Geth or Cerberus and then all of a sudden you hear that scream and now you gotta adapt ... lots of fun.

I especially love watching the guys realize for the first time that the ol' FBW farming system doesn't quite work on a Banshee that can warp its way past the kill zone and right into their laps.  Oh man ... never seen people scramble so fast in my life.  Hard to shoot and laugh at the same time.  :D

Crap, I thought I had more time to complete the challenge because Game Informer reported that Operation Shieldstorm would run through Monday at 5am.

I wish there had been an announcement in game ahead of time. I promoted a character 3 hours before this thing started.

And they could have handled the details better - so much confusion on these boards about how this actually works. Oy.

Rule of thumbs always check the official blog for times, anything else is just asking for misinformation.

My thoughts exaclly. I ceased to play on FBW 'coz it's so boring with those farmers... Banshees made it funnier and it was awesome to watch those guys run around like headless chickens and yelling "what the f...?":D

Banshees didn't really make farming that much harder, half the time I took part in those matches, the banshee got stuck on the console somehow and couldn't move, and she was dead before much was said. However, forcing players to deal with them is rather annoying and lame. Broken enemies should be removed not added to all enemy types.

Didn't like it, not being as successful as I used to be, didn't get my 1.5 mill money I had my eyes on in preparation for the next multiplayer launch.

But meh I just kept my missile launchers for those annoying banshees. When she is just in front of you, blam. One dead banshee. And it is business as usual. I do favour going with 2 salarian engineers now though because of it. To bad that i can't choose another character or we fail it and i don't get a payoff... if I didn't need the credits to unlock stuff I wouldn't care though.

If Bioware doesn't want us to go the farming route, then they should not make credits dependeable on the number of waves you finished. Since people will always go and play the way they can max their improvement. If gold difficulty didn't increase the credits, no farmer would be playing gold. Instant solution.

BIOWARE.... you suck at the anounvcements, you know that?

What the FU*K is the ALLIANCE NETWORK FOR? Care to explain?
Why do you make us come to BSN each time something gamewise changes, or promo weekends are announced?
I played this weekend (PC) ME3 MP but no event screen was shown. How the hell should I suppose to know you are organising anything?
I do not spend THAT MUCH TIME ON BSN to read every forum section...

USE your assets FFS, will you?

And no, I dont use twittsire nor facebough, not everyone want to waste their lives with those things.

Using the easist strategy to harvest as much credits as  possible.  In this case playing against Geth on gold, on the stage firebase White.  Not only is it easier then most maps because of it's layout, but it's also one of the best known gold map strategies so you can find teams that are prepared for it a lot easier then most.  Probably more info then you needed, but I do get going sometimes.

Playing Firestation Gold against Geth.
Everyone picks a Tech and they bunker themselve in the lap in the Back of the level.

it is playing at Firebase White with gold diffuculty. You can choose Geth-Cerberus as enemies. I personally prefer Geth. it is because it is easy to hold  place and easy to finish. Just wait where the other players wait. And you will get it.

There you go.  Free of charge.  Two seconds to take a peek and you know everything going on without reading a single thing on the forums.  You're welcome.

That's what I saw .. if there was a decoy, it got a bit stuck on it.  But the instant the decoy was gone or if there was none to begin with .. zip .. right into their laps.  :o

Ahh good times .. good times.

Thank you, problem is I dont check all those fancy pages. I dont want to waste time coming late and tired from work I just want some quick action, and ingame channels SHOULD provide that info.

What was ANN concept in the first place? Compared to ME2's CN its a joke. When I played ME2 when the game launched I had all the info I needed.

Unless you suck at the game or you're a really boring person, you should've welcomed the challenge.

I thought this was a fantastic idea. Apart from gold becoming a little easy and I'm starting to crave for some insane Platinum mode or something, it's kinda refreshing having 2 Atlases on your ass while a banshee is phasing through walls trying to sync kill you.Damn fun! A creative weekend that actually served a point too:

We didn't complete the last mission and that really adds more weight to the missions. They're not just mindless grinds to unlock some of the more uber awesome weapons, they can fundamentally change gameplay too, which is truly awesome. That's in tune with the BioWare spirit.

If you don't like these missions, don't participate. Stay away, take a break from the multiplayer. Me, I'm having a blast with my friends, we've got no problem against ordinary gold against any faction. BioWare wants to add some more banshees in the mix as well? Challenge accepted.

Now if only a Platinum mode would be released where you fight all three factions at the same time!

Sure, credits == credits on gold. You are doing it for the challenge after all.
