Whatever happened to Dominate?

It was an awesome power in Mass Effect 2 and it would be fantastic to have in Mass Effect 3.
What do you guys think?

It is a biotic power that turns an organic foe into a tempoary ally.
They will create a distraction, do damage and confuse the enemies. Whilst the enemies are fighting each other, they're taking the heat of you.
I don't know what the 6 evolutions would be though.

No Morinth/Ardat-Yakshi in the squad

Oh well. I'm not bothered about the absense of Morinth to be honest.
But still, doesn't mean we can't have dominate. Let's just add it anyway. Even if there is no squadmate who has it.

As much as I enjoyed Dominate on my Puppet Master Engineer in Mass Effect 2, it would essentially turn Mass Effect 3 into easy mode. So no, I do not want it to return.

Dominate would totally break the game. Reaper forces are organics, so Dominate Banshee, Brute, or Ravager and watch as they wipe the floor.

Dominate only works on unprotected/damaged enemies with health.

In ME2 yes, but AI Hacking (one of many Sabotage features) works on every synthetic this time, like pretty much all powers (ME3 defenses? lolwut
This game already is ridiculously easy so I don't think adding Dominate would change anything. Should be fun to play with Reaper's minds - indoctrinate the indoctrinated
My guess why BW removed this from the game is similar to the removal of Reave's health regen (aka vampirism). It supposedly doesn't fit the "lore". A shame imo, gameplay should be king and both powers were pretty cool back in the day.

Though remember Mordin stunning that one salarian and forcing him to activate the console on Sur'Kesh? Maybe they could add the effects of Dominate into Mordin's familiar tech power, Neural Shock. It fits more into the lore than granting Shepard Ardat-Yakshi abilities.

Too cool for school. (Probably why you're not at school).

It really is a shame that it didn't carry over into Mass Effect 3 and I really hope it is added in with a patch (along with some Morinth DLC). The main reason I killed Samara was to get Dominate and now I don't even have it
Morinth is in the game. If you killed Samara and let Morinth live, she appears as a Banshee late in the game.

That wasn't any kind of mind control. That was "FRAK That hurt! I better do what he says or he may zap me again!"

LOL true...But Mordin is probably capable of engineering such a thing. Utilize the omni-tool to fabricate miniature probes that when penetrating the target's tissue, releases a chemical compound that temporarily overrides the organic's brain, allowing Mordin to "control" the target enemy.
Or something to that extent...I'm sure Bioware can come up with a logical way to implement this as a power...

Yeah, I know. Lazy, lazy stuff there. How hard would it have been for Moritnth to take Samaras place in the Monastery mission?
Why on earth would she go there? She went on the run to escape from having to go there and she doesn't strike me as the type of person to care all that much about her sisters--or Shepard, or anybody besides herself. I always felt that her inclusion in the squad in ME2 was strained.

Morinth actually cares about her sisters. Did you read Liara's terminal?JosieJ wrote...
