Too lazy to dig it up but what this guy says is true. I remember when someone posted it a week or two ago with a link to her Twitter and her talking about it.

Sweet. I wonder if they'll get all the squadmate voice actors back. Both Wrex, ME2 and ME3 squadmates for the EC

Liara I feel is a given, since she's BFF with Bioware.. and Tali is a pretty big representative of the Quarians.

According to the portuguese video-game magazine BGamer, Tricia Helfer (EDI), Lance Henriksen (Admiral Hackett) e Raphael Sbarge (Kaidan Alenko) confirmed to returned BioWare studios to record new dialogues and scene for the Extended Cut.
And what's the deal with Hale and Meer?
There's quite a difference between new dialogue and voiced cinematics. Hale or Meer are the player figure after all and if they didn't record new lines, there's nothing to indicate something beyond cinematics.
Hale and Meer won't be returning. We're to assume that Shepard is dead.
Actually, they are.

if this for real then failure to the max :3
Not necessarily.
Since when it is a requirement in any work of fiction that the hero has to survive? Whether or not an ending is good or bad is not linked in any way to whether or not the hero survives it.
well perhaps you should analize much better the situation, shepard did survived in the "best ending" so... at any rate if the IT is true this can be applied and if IT is not true either way shepard is alive so yes, they are required to come back and do more voice recording.

They are still under contract, are they not?
Well, I don't know. But, if every voiceburp makes for a big entry and lots of excitement on these boards, wouldn't you say it's rather odd there's nothing about Hale and Meer recording something?

New dialogues extended to the end of Mass Effect 3
Some actors who give voice to characters in Mass Effect 3 confirmed that they were in the studio to record new dialogue.
Monday, May 21, 2012 11:57
After all the controversy around the end of Mass Effect 3 , BioWare announced the launch of a DLC with the name of Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut that adds, for free, new cut scenes at the end of the game.
The actors Tricia Helfer (EDI), Lance Henriksen (Admiral Hackett) and Raphael Sbarge (Kaidan Alenko) confirmed that they were in the studio to record new dialogue for these additional scenes.
"I just do another studio session with BioWare," said Lance Henriksen. "They told me that there was a problem with the abrupt end to the game, so we recorded some more dialogues to add to the end of the game, so that it maintains the quality that is used in the series."
The fact that they were written dialogues for this DLC suggests that the argument should now be complete and Extended Cut will now enter their final stages of production. Therefore, we should expect the BioWare bid Extended Cut this summer, as planned.
They are curious to see what BioWare you reserved for this final extended?

Didn't I hear a rumour that she was to be an LI in a future DLC? I think it was posted here, but can't be sure.

...So is he saying he thought the game had ended and now he has to record additional dialogue?
Edit: Also how is a thread concerning the endings, not ME3 related? I'm confused?
We can have character hate/love threads in a non-character forum, but if we laugh at the ME3 endings it's not related?

Most works of fiction generally don't come with promises of wildly divergent endings and a numerical points system promising better outcomes for higher numbers either. And yes, there are many works of fiction in which I would consider the ending significantly worse or better if the fate of the main character was changed.Han Shot First wrote...

Not to mention the fact that Han's point works the other way too. There is no requirement that the hero has to die in order to give the story weight or legitimacy. At least no requirement worth the paper its target story is printed on.

But since the "breath" ending already exists, it's extremely unlikely the EC will do away with it.

I would totally be okay with that. Shep and Samara epilogue hunting down Ardat-Yakshi's together. How romantic! :]
