Both Legacy and Mark of the Assassin are extremely good.
Legacy has a classic Origins style, with hints of dungeon crawl, and some epic party banter: 3-5 hrs
MOTA is clever, with a fun temporary squad mate, fantastic final boss, stealth sections and more epic banter. 4-6hrs
The Item packs are ok, but only useful if you play hard or nightmare.
And Sebastian adds an interesting twist to the main games final choice.
Conclusion. Legacy and MOTA are a must buy, but the others should be considered much more

I loved Exiled prince but if you're a hardcore Anders fan... I doubt you'd like Sebastian too much, YOu get to understand Elthina and the chantry better with him and his banters with the other squadmates are priceless.

Legacy... was fine, thought, I liked it. And I still have to buy MOTA so I can't really judge it.

I recommend Legacy and Mark of the Assassin.

If you don't already have the Exiled Prince, Sebastian is a good character and adds some interesting elements to the story. But I think he can be skipped, unless you want to have another archer or want expanded character development.

The item packs are at your discretion. If you're on PC, the first item pack doesn't have high-resolution textures, and it looks like butt. The second has high-resolution textures. All the DLC items pretty much make everything you can find and buy in the game obsolete, however, so it's up to you if you really want to have your best gear available as soon as you reach the city.

It depends, if you enjoyed DA2, I'd get all content packages.
If you didn't(or just are tight on money) than get them in this order: Legacy, Exiled Prince, Mark of the Assassin.

I can't recommend any item packs, because paying money for (just)items just seems like a ripoff to me.

The only one i can comment on is MotA. I liked it, it was well written and fun.....but in the end was not worth 800 points, why you may ask, because you dont get to keep Tallis as a follower and all the items you get as rewards use generic in game models.

Legacy and Mark of the Assassin, because they're both amazing story-based DLCs and they fix a lot of the "issues" with DA2 (repeated environments, enemy waves, etc.) They're really good for character banter and development, too. Oh, and excellent new lore. And BOSS FIGHTS. And the environments are gorgeous. And the romance content is great. Have I mentioned I love these two DLC to death?

Exiled Prince is....well, you see I'd say that your enjoyment of Exiled Prince will depend entirely on whether you require your companion characters to be LIKEABLE or whether you require them to be INTERESTING. Sebastian is super interesting, and Exiled Prince actually fills out some of the more vague stuff in DA2 regarding Elthina's role before the end etc etc. I don't like Sebastian as a person, but he's sufficiently interesting as a character that Exiled Prince is worth the money, to me. Your mileage may vary with this one though.

I honestly can't imagine the game without the Exiled Prince. The game would just feel incomplete to me.

That said, I also really enjoyed both the others - Mark of the Assasin and Legacy. Of the two Legacy was slightly more favorite. I really recommend having all three.

Exiled Prince doesn't have many good quest but you get a companion from it.

I hear Legacy is the best one.  Don't get MOTA though, Tallis is hard to look at Image IPB

I had the SE of the game so I got Sebastian for free and hated him. I deleted him off my console's hard drive.

I played Legacy and it was really good. I highly recommend that.

I wouldn't recommend both item packs (1 & 2) because you don't need that much starting gear.

I didn't play Mark of the Assassin (didn't interest me) and I may be wrong, but my understanding is that its a lead in to the Redemption web show and that's about it.

I quite enjoyed all of them. Anytime I get an opportunity to learn more lore and whatnot I can't resist.

Same reason I still play the Silent Hill games despite their suckage.

Both Legacy and MotA are absolutely awesome, you'd be doing yourself a great disservice to skip either one. Legacy has tremendous DAO style adventuring, great conversations with Bethany, and more with the Gray Wardens, which is always a plus. MotA has a fun and unique storyline, a great new LI, the only downside is she doesnt accompany you the rest of the game. But she's around a long time, as its a long DLC, plus you also get to visit with Leliana once again also. You'll be quite happy you got each one, I strongly reccomend both.

Redemption is actually what leads in to MotA, per chronological order of things. MotA was released at the same time Redemption came out though, IIRC.

And I think that was a bad idea to release MotA at the same time as Redemption just to keep things neat, given the very bad anti-Qunari ending.

Legacy. Skip everything else.
