I have just begun to play this game for the second time with a character imported from the origins game, I must have done something different because now I have a veal bone in my inventory, does that mean the injured Mabari (she no longer hi-lites after your first encounter) you find in the vigil cellar recovers and you can have her in your party???? if not then why have the veal bone as a gift item???

Secondly is it just me or is this game a heck of a lot shorter than the origins one!!!

First, wrong place to post. Second, Awakening isn't a game, it's an expansion for a game, so it's naturally shorter than Origins, the base game. Third, your imported character had the veal bone in their inventory in Origins and it got carried over. Finally, their is no mabari companion in Awakening.

Some gifts are basically junk that you can give to anyone in your party for a small amount of approval - it may not have anything specifically to do with the dog. In fact, to the best of my knowledge there's nothing you can do with/about the dog in the Amaranthine cellar. She's just there to make you a sad panda.

hope that helps!

You can calm her if you have enough ranks in Survival. I think that helps.
