 Dear Bioware,
If my warden returns, and he/she was an Arcane Warrior, will he/she have a staff or a blade/blade and sheild?

I feel that it would go greatly against his/her character to switch the weponds around.
I think it would be best to keep the weapon type that was equiped.

and to all my other Arcane Warrior players out there, how do you feel?

here's some Arcane Warriros:

Well, I think the Warden(all Wardens, not just AW Wardens) should be shown using the type of weapon(s) they had equipped when they were imported. That is assuming that IF the Warden appears AND is engaged in combat. I'm more worried about how the Wardens' faces will look though.

IF the warden does appear I think it's extremely unlikely they'll import the armor/weapons you were wielding at the time of import(even though I'd love it & made sure I had my fave armor and swords equiupped just incase...). My bet is your arcane warrior will just turn up in a robe with some random staff. Just like a warrior will turn up with a random sword/shield & heavy armor. And a rogue with random light armor and duel daggers. I'd love it but I just dont see it happening.  I at least hope they import the face right..

I would be very surprised if the Warden makes much more than a cameo appearance. That is regrettable, but with all the possible end results in DAO, it would be very difficult for them to write a meaningful role for each DAO player's Warden that would concern the plot of DA3. So, it is very possible we would see our Warden in casual (civilian) clothes, or perhaps will have some very snazzy looking combat armor, that is not attainable by a regular character in DA3.

yeah, maybe not fighting, but in some kind of clothing. that would be a good way to fix it if you couldn't import wepon and armor types.

Looking at those pics just reminds me of how much I hated the ghost effects in Origins (at least on PS3). It looked like it was hard to tell whether they were facing towards you or you were staring at the back of someone's head. Plus you could see things like teeth and eyeballs which just ruined the effect and looked like it was a bad glitch rather than a ghost effect.

I think the whole sword-staff weapon is very arcane warrior-ish.

The Warden, because of his/her diverse appearance, is most likely going to be clad in a full suit of armor and will not utter a word because even the slightest appearance tweak or voice is going to cause a massive backlash against the game, especially by the diehard DA:O fanboys/girls. It's either that or we will get a dialogue ala KOTOR2 where we are asked about the Warden's appearance or something like that (a little better that we could at least make sure the skin/hair/eyes matched).

Heck I'm still a little concerned they're going to make Hawke and his/her siblings into the default appearance as well. They advertised it well enough in the beginning of DA2...

Too bad the only person in the ENTIRE world who knows that fighting style? It's the Warden, and I doubt your Character made a tome on how to use it.

BioWare likes retcons so somehow, your arcane-warrior mage 'learned it somehow', or it was 'always used, we just didn't see it in Origins'. Bad I know but yeah.

That's why I think it'd be a good idea to open up a character creator when/if the warden pops up.  Sure you won't get to play him/her if rumors about the protagonist for DA3 are anything to go by but atleast you'll get to control what he/she looks like.
