Mad Rabbit...

Bioware turned KotoR into an MMO and there were rumors that before it was KotoR they were developing it as an MEMMO. Regardless the next TES is going to be an MMO...so that's another loss to the SP RPGS fans. Also their is confirmed Bioware Tried to make MP a FPS for ME3. They're ruining the SP experience! That Likely doesn't bother you as your tag shows you'd like an MEMMO, but it's positively gut wrenching to those who want well developed SP RPGs.

An MMO? Seeing how Bioware makes MMOs (Star Wars) - Absolutely not.

An RTS? Perhaps, but it depends a lot on whether the EC is good or not. Seeing that they're not changing the end I have extremely powerful doubts that it will be able to salvage things though.

Yes, maybe they did change it to SWTOR because they thought ME would work better as a TPS MMO instead of a autoattack mmo? So they actually made the right choice?

Also I do not beleive the FPS ME was developed by BW, and anyhow that is ancient history, and got shown to the public only AFTER it was cencelled.... again, BW are careful not to ruin ME franchise.. (Yeah, yeah insert ending joke here) they don't just "cash in" or they would have made an FPS or  MEMMO 5+ years ago as a WoW clone.

Tera is done with the Unreal engine, jsut like ME, and it handles real time, action combat with proper collisions real well... so it CAN be done, as long as they do not use the SWTOR engine, ME MMO can be done right.. there are no limitation to the technology like 10+ years ago. (You will see how people will wake up once Blizzard releases their new mmo which does not use auto attack system... then suddenly they will be proclaimed inventor of a new genre, even if they didn't.. .again... and everyone will want an mmo build like the new Blizz mmo)

Never in a million years would I play a Mass Effect MMO, PVP game, or FPS.
We all have seen how successful turning KOTOR into an MMO panned out.

If EA wants to lose more shareholder trust and millions of dollars again, then they should definitely have Bioware make Mass Effect into an FPS or MMO... har har.

with the current ending, no

Why does the current ending have anything to do with an MMO being made in the ME universe?

YES I WOULD LOVE TO ....but only if done right. SWTOR was nothing more than a wow ripoff. If they make a ME MMO it needs to be good and most importantly unique. The only reason for me saying yes is because I want more Mass Effect and especially more of the universe I want to explore it in depth which none of the three games allow me to do. An MMO will though. I just want to explore the universe and be in it :)
Why are people so against it?

MMO: No. Bioware has already proven they can't make a good MMO. All they know how to do is copy the standard RNG + Hotbar + 1 second lag design and wrap it in an awful story that tries too hard to justify why you're doing the same repetitious crap for hours longer than any console game would ask.

PvP: What do you mean by PvP? You mean PvP MMO? No, again, because I think the entire game design behind MMOs is awful.

If you mean a competitive shooter, then yeah, I actually would love to see a multiplayer shooter based on Mass Effect mechanics. Keep it 3rd person, add story co-op and a competitive multiplayer section, and add the standard Bioware story effort, and it'd be one of my favorite games. I personally think it could compete with Gears, since pvp multiplayer would force them to tighten their mechanics.

THIS I don't understand... No to an MMO but yes to a shooter? The reason why we love ME is because of the way the story is told (the engagement) and the rich universe. A shooter can't provide any of this. Nor a good story nor a rich universe, however an MMO can give us a rich universe to explore. The ME universe is the only reason why ME would be fit for an MMO. A TPS MMO would be perfect for ME.

On the contrary I don't think that Bioware is fully capable of developing an MMO seeing how they handled SWTOR. If they get help from the outside and make it unique and good then f*ck yea I would play ! :)
Just no traditional MMO wow ripoff design...

Basically IF ME is turned into a shooter it just won't feel like ME...

I'd play a Mass Effect MMO with PVP possibilities. Only if they make look as good as the game tho, I don't like the cartoon look of SWTOR.

MMOs aren't my thing. I'd rather play a game like Mass Effect (as it is) in which everything I'm doing feels heroic in some way, vs. a game like TOR where my personal quest keeps getting side tracked by generic quests.

"Well... I'm REALLY supposed to be helping to bring down the Sith.... but I guess I can go rescue your farming equipment for you. And yes I'll be more than happy to kill 10 droids while I'm out there."

MMOs always have some of the most appealing sounding features, but in practice I'm disappointed 100% of the time, and I won't pay $15 a month for disappointment.

The problem for me is - MASS EFFECT is cinematic, is story, is characters, is dialogue and cinematic again! (and lens flares).

A MMO or RTS could never (for me) reach the almost magical kind of immersion ME1-3 is capable of. I would totally NOT be interested in that. I MIGHT see a ME FPS or a space fighter simulation (only with MANY good story elements). But MMO? Seven hells, NO! RTS...... well........ no.

I doubt Bioware will invest in an another MMO now that SWTOR has failed miserably. I'd like them to concentrate on single-player, where they are (or were) actually good.

Sandbox. Sandbox. Sandbox.

That is just about the only way a Mass Effect MMO could actually become something grand.

Unfortunately, EA would never allow enough time for such an ambitious project to have the minimum development time it requires.

Neither. The essence of Mass Effect was and always will be SP.
I guess the same goes to KOTOR. TOR was a mistake imo.
