The ladder methodology will be revamped. Each time you play with a unique set of 5 players in a 5v5 game, a new team is created composed of those 5 players on your team. If these same 5 players play again it will reflect upon their ranking depending on how well they do. So a player that plays lots will be part of many teams, and on occasion when one of those teams he is on gets together again, it will influence upon that team's ranking. This solves the problem of team play for ranking purposes that has been a source of difficulty in the past because it is hard enough to get your team together even with many alternates. And it doesn't punish alternates for being left out when better players on the team are present. How will the rankings work? Let's say a team is ranked 20th and they beat the team ranked 10th then the team ranked 20th moves up half the distance which is to the 15th spot. If they are within a certain number of rungs, say 5 spots, and win then they move above the team they beat so they are now ranked 10th and the 10th ranked team moves down to 11th. These variables could be changed say from moving up 50% to 75% if the lower team wins. Or the number of rungs below could be increased say from 5 to 10 or even 50 for the lower team, if they win, to move above the higher team. When a team doesn't play in a 24 hour period against a team below them within this number of rungs, they move down a certain number of spots at the end of the day. Bioware will alter these variables accordingly that work out best depending on the number of people joining the ladder.
