I'm personally, pretty optomistic about the Extended Cut, but I'm interested to see how others feel in regards to the chances and leniencey fans are prepared to give BioWare if thee EC succeeds or not.

i still highly doubt that the EC will change things. they knew what we think of this ending and they still keep it and use the artistic BS excuse.

I think Bioware has screwed up so much that the EC won't cut it... one of the reason being they won't change the ending.

I'm pretty skeptical of the EC <_<. If they couldn't have made a half decent ending with the time they had how are they going to make it better in a couple of months or so with the same half assed ending 
? If they screw this up which I already believe they will 
, not saying they wont' try to make it good but I don't think it can be salvaged this way, then I am done unless they actually want to admit they f'ed up :innocent:

The EC isn't a last chance, its a desperate attempt to pull their (Bioware's) butt out of the fire, but as far as I'm concerned the EC will not address anything for the ending beyond 'clarity' and some cut-scenes and post ending placards. BW is now no longer a trusted developer as far as I'm concerned.

The damage is done.
Those that have long since moved on, (sold-off or traded in ME3 for something else) will probably watch the EC and it's variations over on YouTube, with a cynical eye.

How is it making it better? There Star Child is still there, so are the explosions and none of your previous actions matter in the slightest.

for me, Its the last chance - I will replay ME3 SP for the first time since i got the platinum for it once the Extended Cut is released, and see how it's changed. If it fixes what's broken, and fills in the blanks, then I'm willing to give them another chance.
The sad thing, though, is I can't help but suspect EA forced them to meet a deadline they couldn't, and the ending feels like proof of that. It felt like the entire team just washed their hands of it, went to the pub, and left some random idiot to choose which scenes looked the prettiest,,,

They've already said that they can't please every single person who plays Mass Effect 3. To create an ending catered to every single person would cost too much money.
I'd still consider us very lucky for them to be making this Extended Cut ending. They could have just said that's the way it's going to end and not done it.
From what I understand, most people don't like the fact that the ending doesn't make sense or that no matter what, your choices don't matter in the end or something along those lines. Or that the ending is the same cinematic, except you have your choice of color. Even though, with Mass Effect 2, aside from the colored explosion of the Collector base and the conversation with The Illusive Man, it's pretty much the same.

If I was everyone here, I'd wait and try the Extended Cut before making any conclusions on it. People are already assuming it's not going to provide them with the things they want without even seeing what it has to offer. Besides it's free. You've got nothing to lose.
