I actually re-tried playing it. It seems that playing 10 vs. 10 is too much of a strain on resources. I can play fine on 4 vs. 4 and below. It is actually pretty good. The only thing is that it is pretty hard to pursue a enemy. I am used to playing flying/space games with my joystick. My OS is Vista 32-bit. Hope it helps

Actually, the enemies are flying at half of the maximum speed, if you set your speed at 30-35 you should be able to pursue them more easily.
A friend told me that the shaders didn't work with his ATI card but my two PCs both have NVIDIA so I've been unable to test it and find the problems. Is that the problem you mention?NinthGeorgesw wrote...
This is great. I had some graphical problems until I fiddled around with the options, but it's really impressive.
Is pretty much the same as in Mass Effect, it affect especially the shields and in lesser mesure the integrity of the ship, but I should do that the overload disabled the ship for some time.Takio wrote...

-The controls are really stiff and clinical. add something like acceleration when your turning. instead of the stop the moment you release the button.
(This is more of a personal preference but a boost option might be nice, make the ship fly at the default speed when you respawn at 62 at max I believe and then boost to 72 when you press shift or something and decelerate again to 62 when you release shift)
-Also you need an invert Y axis option. it was very had to aim for me using the arrow keys and WASD
-The frame rate tanks quite a few times (especialy when the reaper is in view) and the camera stutters sometimes when you respawn.
-And please get rid of the font for the abilities and the menu, Arial would be an improvement, or even better the mass effect font.
-Also I'd change the background of the menu. The buttons are a little hard to see against the background. (change it to a star field or something else so at least the buttons are clearly visible.
-The target indicators in the flight are way to prominent. make the lines a little thinner and the boxes smaller. so they dont excessivly stand out and distract from the rest of what is going on.
even though the target indicators are very prominent its very difficult to find the occuli on screen.
also there is no way to differentiate between friendly fighters and enemy fighters. all are indicated in red
-The star field is very low res and has stretching issue's at atleast one of the corners of the skybox.get a starfield that is at least 2048x2048 in resolution.
-The reaper has major clipping issue's where you can just fly right through the legs without bouncing off or taking damage.
-The death screen is a little unclear because your fighter doesnt despawn. it just keeps flying till its out of screen. also maybe add a respawn timer.
-The Camera needs to be a little less static than it is right now. the far away camera is a good start but it needs to be tighter than it is now. decrease the camera follow lag. and add it to the closer views aswel but even tighter. the closer the camera is to the ship the shorter follow lag. also if possible a cockpit view would be cool.
-Take a close look at the Rogue Squadron games, they do this really well (

I know its not alot of positive feedback but I think this kind of feedback is more usefull to you than, "Looks great can't wait to see more"

You can tweak the ship properties and add this feature. Go to the folder "vehiculos" and open the file "alliance.xml" ("cerberus.xml" or "geth.xml" for the other playable ships). Search for the tag "<propShip>" and there you'll find some movement properties for pitch, yaw and roll. The property "maxPitch" indicate the maximum speed for pitch and "pitchIncr" the acceleration. A "pitchIncr" lesser than "maxPitch" will result in a smoother pitch movement and if it is greater or equal the movement will be stiff. The same is applied to yaw and roll.

You should try disabling the v-sync in your graphics card configuration panel, maybe that help a bit.
I didn't find the mass effect font in the game files so I used a free font, for what I know arial isn't free.
The text for the powers is provisional, I will include icons like Mass Effect.

Yes, sometime the background made difficult to see the letters that's why I put the blue rectangle but it didn't help much.

Agree, the target cross should be thinner but the boxes I think they are ok, maybe in blue color will distract less.

I screwed one of the corners when I made the skybox, but the resolution isn't a problem because it is composed by 6 faces each of 1024x1024

The collision model of the reaper is only the body, the legs didn't produce collisions.

There is a respawn timer every 10s, the problem is that there is no indication of such thing, but every 10s enemy and ally forces respawn including your ship. I should include a counter on screen when your ship is destroy indicating the time remaining for respawn.

I'll include the option to control this feature in the next releases. Unfortunately, the cockpit view would be a bit difficult because the models didn't include it.

And I fixed some bugs and improved some things that will be included in the next version:
-Fixed the reaper legs stuttering.
-The ship's movement is now set by default to half the maximum speed and you can go faster or slower when you hold the respective key but the speed will return to half the maximum speed when the key is released. This allow to follow enemies more easily.
-The reaper laser now have a laser sound instead of the reaper horn sound.

I want to implement the tactic pause to be able to give orders more easily, but it's a work in progress.

First of all, the Normandy model is not the game one but a custom made one. However If you don't need it its ok.
The other things:
The Models: If you haven't been able to find the Cerberus Frigate, I can photoshop it for you. The Asari Cruiser however is not in the ME3 files(that I know of) However, I got it from the ME1 files, and I'm willing to tell you where it is later.
The Menu: I'll start working on the menu, however I'd like to ask you, do you prefer the buttons like "Game" and "Options" to be an Icon or you'll make it as font? If the case is that you want them to be Icons, you'll have to give me a list of the buttons and also what you wish for me to do as the main menu theme. I thought several things:
- A Console, like the ME3, and ME2 menus.
- A Showdown of the Normandy(A camera showing the SR2 from different perspectives)
- A Space Battle
- Earth rotating with a flickering lens flare
I can make all the backgrounds be a .bik file if you use something related to that video format.

Hell, I forgot about the Skybox. Before doing anything related to the skybox I must ask you, is it a Hi-Res Image that is used as a texture, or is it a small repeated texture of stars?
If it is a HR Image I would be able to give it a lot of detail.

the game and that is a problem to be able to run in real time, the
models have to be optimized with low polygon count.

The buttons for the game menú is better to let the text as font to be able to translate or change it easily, but could be a button image behind.
And for the background, the engine doesn't have support for videos so it has to be a static image. If I have some time, I'll try to add this feature but for now it's not a priority.
The skybox is made of 6 images (1024x1024 each), one for each face of the box so the connected edges must match. Here is a tutorial of how to made one. I followed that tutorial to made it but I screwed some of the corners.Aerenko wrote...

Testing 40 ships at the same time with shots and explosions everywhere.
Now all the ships start near the mothership and fly in "formation" to face the enemies.
I added fuzzy logic to control the ships movement and made some optimizations in performance and graphics.

You can't yet, but I'm considering a way to play as a reaper:
-Adding the power "Assuming Control" that allows you to control one of the fighters.
-Allow the control of the reaper's legs.
I have nothing of this implemented yet, it's just an idea.

-New game mode "Escort the Freighter":
In this game mode, you'll have to escort a freighter in its way to a target location. Allies ships will spawn near the freighter and enemies ships will spawn near their mother ship. The enemy mother ship can be destroyed, in that case it will respawn in its initial location.
Allies will win if the freighter reach the target location without being destroyed, and enemies win if the freighter is destroyed before.
-New ships:
--Cerberus defector fighter
--Reaper controlled geth fighter
--Reaper controlled geth transport
