Anyhow, I'm pretty disappointed overall. The name Phoenix doesnt make any sense when used about ex-Cerberus agents; Cerberus wasn't destroyed or "left in ashes" and the idea of slightly retextured humans isn't very interesting, especially as you can't be a phantom equavalent (though I suppose it's not impossible that their melee involves an actual sword/blade rather than an omnitool).
And the insipid, self-proclaimed "purists" can stop high-fiving; ME3 multiplayer is simply an extra timesink Bioware added to the game in order to make an extra buck; insisting that it should stick to lore when all it involves is playing a couple of repetitive missions weakly connected to a frankly idiotic war asset/galactic rating system is stupid.
Adding Protheans, whether aided by a feeble backstory about finding another Stasis-world or cloning Javik (which is completely possible in the Mass Effect universe considering Noveria in ME1, (if extinct) Rachni in ME3 and the dinosaur crap sidequest in ME3), is simply what the majority of the community wants, and would be far more refreshing than anything else they can add.
And Quarians are just so.. uninteresting, both by merit of their portrayal in the game as incompetent and annoying, and the fact that Bioware gave the finger to the community with the reveal of Quarian faces in ME3.

Still would look forward to maybe the protheans being added eventually but they'll probably be added last most likely if they make any more mp dlc

Will there also be special Rebellion packs like the Resurgence packs we had?

Doubtful about the weapons though. I'm guessing the Full Auto Matlock will be more powerful than both the Avenger and Phaeston but have limited ammo, but that's pretty easy to figure out. The arc shotgun and turian sniper could go either way. Hopefully the Arc Shotgun is somewhat more like that Arc Projector from ME2. Turian Sniper is either a low power sniper Falcon or a super-Javelin with even more of what makes the Javelin a love-it-or-hate-it.

I'm now looking forward to reading all of the "i told you so" posts from people who said it was cerberus and the people who told them they were deluded getting their comeuppance.

SP maps converted to MP. They all play the same, really.
I have every single weapon maxed. I regularly use... 3 of them. I'm sure the new ones will either be UR, and therefore pointless to be concerned with, or rare and crap, and won't dethrone the "these are the guns everyone uses" weapons.
Color me not impressed.

i dont know if I explained myself corretly, having 2 toys every two weeks is better than having 8 toys but waiting 2 months stalled, at least for me (keeps me more motivated and playing more frequently to unlock new toys every 2-3 weeks than knowing i wont have new stuff in 2 months)
but anyway thx for the rebellion pack, on paper looks fantastic!

Reinforcements are being deployed to all N7 forces, bringing out some heavy hitters thanks to the new Mass Effect 3 Rebellion DLC Pack! Arriving on Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network and PC on Tuesday, May 29 (Wednesday, May 30 on the PSN in Europe), the Mass Effect 3 Rebellion Pack will be bringing you more gear, more weapons, more maps, more kits, and new races, and it’s available at no additional cost for anyone who redeemed an Online Pass for Mass Effect 3 on PC, PS3 or Xbox 360.
The Rebellion Multiplayer Expansion opens two new fronts against the Reapers: Firebase Jade’s jungle reservoir and Firebase Goddess on Thessia. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons (Reegar Carbine, Krysae Sniper Rifle, Cerberus Harrier) as well as equipment, consumables, and six new characters from species that have lost lives or whole planets to the Reapers: Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator, Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel, Ex-Cerberus Phoenix Adept and Vanguard. The battle continues!
Glanced. Saw "ex-Cerberus". Laughed out loud at how creatively bankrupt Bioware must be, to shoehorn in even MORE generic, boring humans?
Why would we need ANOTHER human vanguard, and ANOTHER human adept?
Way to fail, guys, way to fail. MP desperately needed something to keep it fresh, instead, more garbage.
Seriously bro?
They're giving us free DLC and your just going to bag on it because it includes humans? Sad.
Ahahahahahaha. #1. I'm not your "bro". #2. This DLC is not free. You don't actually "get" anything with it except a couple SP maps converted to MP. The characters, weapons, everything else? You have to unlock that, same as you did before. Don't fool yourself.
A "Free DLC" would be more like "get the things right away". Not "Please buy our Bioware Points!".
Yeah, and the human thing will make me bag on it. MP needs to be refreshed. It's stale. The same objectives, against the same enemies, with the same behaviors. It's boring. It needed something new, different, fun.
More human vanguards is not that. Nor is more human adepts. Zzzzz.
The amount of facepalm contained in this one comment is incredible.
