I dont understand why people are ****ing about the fact that you have to grind or pay real money for this stuff. I personally think it would lower the replay value if i got something for free with everything available to use straight away. If you dont have anything to work towards anymore, why play the game. I'm not really a fan of mutiplayer games, but the randomness of unlockables is what keeps me coming back and keeping it fun. I think these days, people expect too much for nothing.

Agreed. I NEVER pay real money for this sort of stuff, so the grinding is fun as it makes the acquisition of weapons such as the Black Widow so rewarding.

Totally agreed.
Another point is that most people seem to focus on the extra characters and weapons, and forget that you're being given the extra maps completely free on download. Most popular shooters out there charge money simply for map packs.
Honestly, in an online world where there is an increasing trend of paid dlc, and although it might be argued that because you can pay real money for weapon packs the ME dlc isn't totally free, having the option to get 100% out of the multiplayer without forking 10-20$ every couple months is totally fine by me.
Also, just to use some shooters as an example, (Halo, Bf, CoD) having more or less dlc packs than my friends made it quite hard to party up at times, which isn't even an issue in ME as the maps come free on download.
It might not be completely perfect, but I really think Bioware did good with this model.

I'm guessing it will be out 5 pm their time at the latest, which would be inn 13 1/2 hours (assuming they weren't going for a midnight launch).

The marketplace generally gets updated at about 10am GMT, which is in half an hour. Knowing BioWare though, it could be anything up to two hours after that. LOTSB didn't drop until nearly 11:30.
