More micro-transaction=more easy money.

They'll get a lot more money from that instead of actually charging for the DLC.

It's not really "free" Sure to download it, it will be free but you are oging to have to farm hours and hours of gameplay to just have a chance of even getting the new content. Bioware relies on people paying for the packs with real money, something people are sadly buying. That's why both MP packs have been free.

I thank these people. As long as they keep spending money on packs, EA will continue dishing out free stuff. It works for me :)

That actually makes logical sense. In the packages in their "store" you can purchase weapons with credits, rather then grinding. Who knows how much money people paid for this. As long as people coutinue to pay for that they can expand maps to given them more reason to buy even more weapons.

No. It is not free. It relies on preying upon fools who spend real money for it.
The fact that you may not be one of them doesn't change that THIS IS WHY IT EXISTS.

It. Is. Not. Free. If you wish to continue praising BioWare for false platitudes, go ahead. I will however openly mock you for it.

As I said before, your right tehcnically.

But honestly, who cares?

I want the real BioWare back. I care. Yes, I'm aware it's already too late. Doesn't change my desires.

Keeping people interested in MP means more Micro-transactions.

Do you know any single person who ever wasted real money on MP stuff?? I mean, I just can't imagine one. None of my multiple friends (some of which really love MP) ever did it. I don't think this can be any significant income.

Because of the fact that you didn't part with one red cent, you don't have a leg to stand on with anything negative you might have to say. Contrast that to having had to part with an additional $5-10 dollars and you have all the right in the world and likely the hard feelings will get amped way up.

While I would have parted with my hard earned coin to actually fix the abortion of an ending that came with the original game, BioWare's steadfast resistance to changing their "art" and covering their own hind ends does not make me feel good about the free DLC. Sharp, clear, and focused crap is still crap. True, it won't be murky anymore, but its nature will not have changed.

Just as George Lucas stuck us with Jar Jar Binks and a Greedo with a remarkably poor aim, we are stuck with the glowing freakazoid at the end of ME3 and his BS choices. Sad, but true. BioWare took a great franchise and shot it in the foot with a large caliber handgun. There is a lot riding on the free DLC and I just don't see how it is going to fix the ending.

So in this regard, free is the right price.

It's a free to play concept...
They show you a bunch of cool stuff but two roads to get it. The hard longer to do"play and get points to buy it" and quicker easier "buy it with money."

This keeps people playing. This good business sense.

The real BioWare is here. It just grew up and got a job.

You talk like it's an eternal struggle that will lead to defeat, but the reality is, well, the real world sucks right now and people need to make money somehow.

There's people who have spent hundreds of dollars on Multiplayer stuff. Part of it though, for the average joe, is just ease of access. You've got 300 Microsoft points sitting around after buying a game? Don't feel like buying Avatar junk? Etc.

Actually, I believe we need more consumers who are willing to stand up for themselves. For too long have people rolled over and took whatever the market throws at them.

We need smarter consumers.

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/343/index/12132642/3

In this one topic, around every 5th poster on average has spent real money.
Some, if they're telling the truth, have spend absurd amounts ($500!?).

This is what they're after. If only a fraction of players spend real money on packs they still rake in the cash.

No teh catch is I have to waste more hours just to get soemthing I want to enjoy or use real money. That's just...no. If it's free these characters should be unlocked at the start andt he weapons at lvl 1, THEN you have to uy packs to upgrade your weapons and lvl up to upgrade your characters. If the MP dlc was liek taht no one would care, but it's not and it has a catch so it's not "free", it's masked as free dlc.

Are you implying that the BioWare that released Baldur's Gate, KotOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect, wasn't "professional"?

We're done here. Get lost.

Old bioware is dead and gone unfortunately (thank you EA)
but might as well make the most of it, as long as bioware doesn't strike(strike 2 so far) out in my book i'm ok with free stuff.
ps. If people are dumb enough to gift EA their money than they have no reason to cry when they discontinue the servers and they see all their money go down the crapper.

I still haven't spend a penny on multiplayer, despite Resurgance pack.

I was unaware that was a mod priviledge.
I'll tell anyone who openly insults the BioWare of the past by implying they were unprofessional to get lost, thanks. That is completely uncalled for.

And how many hours did you put in tryign to get the new stuff? Do you still have new stuff to unlock? That's the issue. They give us a new cake that looks great for free, then they tell us we have to buy each slice despite the fact it was a free cake.

Ditto. More the fool them but I'm happy with it. I don't understand anyone spending a penny of real money on packs. Getting the credits from playing the game means that not only is the gameplay fun but it gives me a goal from it. What's the point in dodging that?

This. I wouldn't pay a single cent for a pack. Earning the credits, finishing missions & playing MP to level up my characters is fun. So yeah.
