Support equality? Shut up. We have tonnes of male and female characters. Just because not every single character has a male or female counter part doesn't mean there isn't some sort of equality.
No need to be so hostile.
If we are really going to go down the route of equality then it makes sense to have the one species that has figured out true equality adequately represented on the field of battle. There should be more female turians out there than humans, quarians, etc. It would be nice if every species was given two genders but if they must be restrictive then why go against their own lore and not at least give us the one female who is the most at home in a war situation?
A minimum requirement of 16 years of military service and she's absolutely forgotten during the biggest war in galactic history? That's hardly fair. Nevermind the fairness to the player who wishes to have more options. I don't mind playing my male turians in MP but as a woman, I tend to prefer to play female characters when its possible, especially when the lore states that it should be commonplace.

Ok, so we're getting male quarians, great! Where's the lady turians? Where's the INFILTRATOR turians? Dare I hope for a female turian vanguard? If we can get vorcha then anything's possible.
Let our voices be heard.
I approve of this.

Turian female infiltrator and adept, or vanguard, more agile than their male counterparts but with less health and shield.

They haven't bothered for 3 games, why would they do it now for multi? Ex-cerberus, geth, even worcha are just reused models. Turian females would likely require a completely new model. That's expensive. especially considering these DLCS are free. And I'm not sure people would accept a slightly altered turian male model with a helmet as a substitute. People would just scream; lazy, at that.
Since they already said they just look like the male to avoid including them, they just would have to make new voices and voila. It's done.
Hopping for a slightly different redesign of the males tho, thinner and smaller.
Edit: and yeah, a swapped helmet turian would be an awful way to include them.

I'll be one of the first people who screams 'lazy' at that, then.

Actually, the geth are new models(somewhat). The engineer lacks the antenna on the back and the infiltrator has shortend shoulder pylon-things. Not really huge changes to the model, but it's still more then a simple re-texture.
The same could be done with the current Turian models to make them female. Shorten the head crests, use a FFD box or poly brush to tweek the body proportions. No re-rigging required. For the voice acting, take the current female voice, then apply filter.

They are new models compared to me2. But they are lifted straight from the geth made for the single player in ME3. Hence reused.

Turians are an Avian race (war room guard comment). Turian females are warriors (reach vs flexability). So, make them smaller, agile (drell like movement/speed) and colorful (bird heritage). Nice artwork thewalrusx!
So, if turian felmales are more flexible...they have 150 less shields but can dodge...right? Please?

The models are reused, tweaked slightly at the shoulder pylons which have been cut off. Cutting something of a ready made model isn't even close to designing a new one.
Still, if they can tweak these, there's no reason they can't scale down a male turian.
Fair enough.

Ah, I misunderstood what you meant by "reused". It still is 99% the exact same model, however the small changes they did make required adjustment in a 3d modeling application, then re-import into the game as a seperate mesh. Which is why I didn't consider it "reused".Count Viceroy wrote...

The female gender is under-represented. It is almost discriminative. And while you're working at it, make sure to not give them the male bumbums.

Since both sexes of Turian species look the same, maybe the Turian we have in MP is not male? Maybe he/she can represent both sexes? Nobody said Turian females have feminine voices as understood by humans. Sexual dimorphism can range from minor (only real external difference being genitalia) to major (male gorrilla twice the size of female). So just give your Turian a female name, and you're done.
I was thinking the same thing:lol:
snackynak wrote...Joke's on you though. There already are female Turians, you just have to guess which ones are female

Heh, this whole "they just look like the male" and now "they just sound like the male" is anyway the easy way choosed by Bioware to not include them in any of the 3 games.
Not really fond of this, so I really hope than one day, we finally can see them, or even hear them.

Nobody said turian females are more flexible. We know of one turian female who was flexible, or just more flexible than Garrus Vakarian. Might as well be her individual trait.january42 wrote...
