I said this in the second page, let me elaborate my point this time and see if I can get some understanding.
BioWare seems to be keeping a certain level of separation here. From Ashes had nothing to do with MP and Resurgence had nothing to do with SP. There's no Kishock or Geth SMG for Shepard and no Particle Beam or M55 for MP. SP got a Patch and changed nothing for MP. Hydra and Condor don't even "exist" in SP. Weekly balance changes also don't touch SP.
So far, characters and classes addition were limited to lore and War Assets available in SP. Its was already there, in numbers and text, both Vorcha, Batarian and ex-Cerberus can be acquired to fight the reaper in Single Player.
So, I don't care about Protheans. I don't even like Javik and only played From Ashes because it came with my Digital Deluxe purchase. Too my point of view, altering known facts is always a bad idea. But OK, this is beyond my opinion. The fact is: Every playable character from MP is a War Asset in someone's campaign and ProtheansSquads are not even hinted in SP.
Conclusion is simple: If we are to see Protheans for MP, they have to appear as War Assets somehow and the only way to do this is with a Single Player DLC. If this SP DLC gets released and a "Protheans Squad" is added to Shepard's War Assets we can wait for a MP DLC called "Rebirth" including Protheans.
My opinion is: BioWare will not add "Protheans Squad" to SP, therefore we are not going to see Protheans as playable classes in MP. But if we do, we will see a SP DLC first, adding Protheans as War Assets.
tl;dr: Protheans are not(yet) war assets so they can't fight this war. If they add "Prothean Squad" to war assets, we can think about Protheans for MP.
