After analysis the f ight I foudn soem problems I need to improve and correct.
1) my fighter lost target after get knocked back. It slike memory wipe on avery attack so I have to retarget them every turn.
2) I have to use hold position to make sure my healer dotn stand on same side as tank to get away from flame breath
3) mob too close to grp... none aoe works, only use freeze, heal, mana regen. 2nd healer is a bit better can use petrify and stone fist. but tha tis all dps from my mage....no dps at all.......
but both cast forcefield on mob to gain recovery time though its very short.
4) my tank ran out mana so fast the complete fight is made on auto attack alone. the mob got immune and missed a lot.
The fight is a marazon.. comsumed alot potions.
How do I improve my game.

A few tips though,
1) I would recommend replacing Morrigan with a character that can attack from range (such as Leliana if you kept her spec'd for archery), and you really only need 1 tank.
2) Keep your characters that have ranged attacks (archers and mages) well away from the dragon
3) If you use any melee characters in addition to your tank, keep them positioned at the dragon's side. This will keep them away from the flame breath, and it will just attack with its tail if you put someone directly behind it.
4) Your main focus should be keeping the tank alive, and keeping your characters in the proper positioning (Mage and archers as far away as you can get them, tank at 12 o'clock, other melee at 3/9ish o'clock)
5) If you have any warming balms, or items that give fire resistance, use/equip them on your tank.
6) Cone of Cold is great for freezing it.

on a side note, doing a search for "High Dragon" on youtube should net you a fair few vids. Pretty sure I've seen a couple complete with commentary too ;p

More or less everything that can be quickly noted about this particular fight (and dragon fights in general I suppose) has been mentioned above. I've always found it helpful to have a visual reference though, so enjoy.

You did that? That's awesome! I am even having problems with it on level 18/19 on normal. Thanks for the vid. Superb really.

What was your party composition? As a general rule, the only melee you'll want in there are 2-handers (complete knockdown and stun immunity through indomitable) with high physical resistance (chance to avoid knockback). A shield with shield expertise and shield wall (knockdown immunity) is also viable, yet not as preferable due to stun and lack of damage. A third character as a healer/buffer and a fourth as damage. It all depends on how you set out your party though.
The most basic advice I can give you, is to just look to get the most synergy out of your setup. Telekinetic Weapons for small weapons users. Haste for multiple melee without momentum. You may get more damage from your mage by saving that last bit of mana for a death hex (assuming it hits), rather than using it on several Winter's Grasps. As long as you squeeze every last benefit that you can out of the four different party members you're controlling, you can turn pretty much any situation to your advantage.

the num 1 mistake (I only tried this dragon once adn worked, though very painful) was I chose to fight in a small opening inside a ruin building...I shouldnt mix felmth fight with high dragon.. wrogn strategy... puting my ppl too close together force my mage cant though aoe spell and reduce over all dps
my 2 fighter all use shields and didnt go th e middle line to remove shield penalty.. thus lower dps as well.. lots stun, knock down, konck back, and through in mid air
I will run the fight again in the openning and see the diff and then respect my toon to use 2 hand and try it again. to make it perfect.
