So I've downloaded the game and, after installing Firefox, was finally able to register my promo codes. 

Still can't register my CE game with my profile, but I can wait on that.

When I get into the game and try to log onto my profile so that I can download my content, I can't log in because the game doesn't believe that I have an internet connection.  I've checked the firewall on my computer and it's not blocking it, what's more I disabled it to see if that made a difference and it didn't.  I tried to find the ports this game uses so I can configure my router to pass the info along, but I can't find any info on that.  And, lastly, I can't get to ea.support.com because there are so many redirects that the current load on the site won't get me through.

If anyone knows how to fix the issue with the internet connection piece, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have this same problem since the character creator. I posted twice in the character creator thread, and once made my own thread, (bumping it as well). I received no help from Bioware (I asked for some help documentation wise... i.e. what ports to open, what are the network requirements, etc).



Still was unable to upload my Character using the CC. I crossed my fingers, and decided it was just a bug in the CC.



Well, received the retail (disc) CE today, installed it, and same problem. I've done everything possible to try and get this to work, but can't seem to get the game to see that I have an internet connection.



As these forums are buggy as hell, you can't search, and I've posted here quite a few times on this problem, I've resorted to posting in the original (now reopened) Dragon Age support forums:

You'll have to upgrade your video card, - and depending on what you upgrade to - perhaps a new power supply as well.  It pays to read system requirements before purchasing.

Ok, I did the CMD line fix and no go.

I have this problem too.
Very annoying performed the usual checks
